Campus

  • IICD Jaipur encourages students to explore their skills and find their design approach towards the craft. Students are engaged in extracurricular activities and cultural events where they celebrate festivals and organise the students fest.
  • The institute has a 50 Mbps internet connection. The desktops in the computer lab are connected with LAN and Wi-Fi for internet service. A student can access the Wi-Fi facility at any point in time through their id within the campus.

Hostel Facilities

  • The hostel of Indian Institute of Crafts and Design provides an accommodation facility for girls on campus.
  • The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design hostel is well furnished with all essential amenities and conveniences like well-ventilated air-cooled rooms, RO and water cooler facility, with an abundant supply of hot and cold water, and 24 hrs power backup. 
  • Besides these medical facilities, a yoga trainer and a psychologist are also available in the hostel. The hostel has round the clock Wi-Fi available for students. There is the provision of firefighting equipment on all floors of the hostel to ensure the safety of students. 
  • The hostel is under the care of a resident warden and lady guards to ensure students safety.
  • IICD Jaipur Hostel has the most modern cooking gadgets, deep freezers, and water coolers supplying purified water. 
  • Well planned, nutritious, varied, balanced, and delicious vegetarian food is prepared under strict hygienic conditions and is served to students at its best. 

Canteen And Cafeteria

  • Indian Institute of Crafts and Design facility includes a spacious, permanent canteen within the campus where a variety of tasty, hygienically prepared food is available at economic rates. It has a seating capacity of 120 persons at a time. 
  • The canteen offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea/coffee, ice cream, snacks, and more.
  • It is on the ground floor of the girls hostel building, inside the campus. There are two more temporary eateries inside the campus just near the main gate.
  • The campus has RO water purification and cooling facilities on the college campus. 

Healthcare: Medical aid is available on campus, and a doctor regularly visits to address the health concerns of students. The college has a counselling department with a psychologist for students as and when required.

Library

  • Indian Institute of Crafts and Design library is fully furnished and spread over approximately almost 1800 square feet.
  • It offers digital access facilities to students, faculty, institutions, alumni, artisans, and industry. 
  • The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design library has a rich collection of Indian Art & Crafts, Design science and technology, Drawing & Sketching, Ceramic, Wood & Furniture, Textile Design, Paper, Metal, Jewellery, Architecture, Paintings, Photography, and its related fields. 

Craft Incubator: Incubators facilitate start-ups into a common network with technological and commercial big players fostering innovation in various radii. Business incubators focus on encouraging and helping create new businesses that may become new business units or spin-offs. IICD Jaipur is looking for early-stage start-ups

Computer Labs: The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design lab facilitates integrating IT design skills with academics through design software like Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Coreldraw, Rhino, etc. The computer labs are well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment like Desktops, Image Scanners, Wide Format Printers, Sound system, Digital Cameras, etc.

Weaving Workshop: Soft material design department maintains a weaving workshop in college equipped with tabletop sample looms, offering an effective integration of theoretical and practical inputs to students. 

Sewing Workshops: Soft material design and fashion design departments have sewing workshops with facilities of more than 50 Juki and Brother stitching lock stitch machines, overlock machines, pattern cutting tables, and steam irons. In addition, they also learn basic stitching techniques for home furnishings and apparel to add value to product design.

Wood Workshop: The wood workshop houses spiral lathe, radial drill, radial saw, band, saw, lathe, tenoning, groove making machines along with various hand tools to create wooden and Bamboo craft items. 

Pattern Making & Draping Workshop: These workshops are stocked with specialised pattern-making tables & dress forms. In addition, they also facilitate creativity, unique approach, and innovative perspectives concerning garment making.

Ceramic and Glass Workshop: The fired material department has a fully functioning laboratory and workshops facility with different types of clays, minerals, oxides, and chemicals required for low-fired earthenware to high-fired bone china. 

Metal and Stone Workshop: The metal and stone workshop teaches the skills of stone inlay, mosaic, stone carving, metal sheet work, metal furniture, and traditional craft practices. The workshop is functional with machines buffing, cutting, lathe, shaper, welding, pillar drill, pipe bending, and hand tools.

Leather Sewing Facilities: IICD Jaipur has the equipment to facilitate cutting, stitching, and leatherwood for students.

Clay Pottery / Terracotta Workshop: The fired materials department of IICD Jaipur has a well-established clay material workshop and teaches methods and techniques to prepare the clay. Traditional practices of Terracotta / Clay relief work are taught in the beginning.
