Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat was established as part of the 20 IIITs being set up, funded, and managed by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD). The project is based on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. A 50-acre main campus is now under construction at Surat. The classes are now held at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat, which is the mentor institute that provides all amenities to the students of IIIT Surat.

Imparting preeminent knowledge in the field of Information Technology to younger generations so that they can serve the Society and Nation through evolving excellence in technology and innovations. Enrich the upcoming young engineers with contemporary knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Evolve seamless acquaintance in various technical fields through innovation and research. Cultivate effective communication skills for establishing upbeat interaction to inspire leadership qualities in young Engineers.

IIIT Surat Course

IIIT Surat courses are offered in Engineering with two major specializations. The course includes B.Tech.

IIIT Surat Infrastructure:

The hostel and other facilities are with the SVNIT. Library, Classroom, Labs, and high-speed Wi-Fi also available for students. Every student gets his unique ID for the Wi-Fi login. Labs are also shared with SVNIT. A sports ground also available. The campus is Good but the food in the mess is as usual. The library is equipped with books and a reading section facility. Hostels are good, and they serve nutritious food. The environment on the campus is very good, and it is a ragging free campus. The Central Library of SVNIT was established in 1968 and has a large collection of books, journals, and e-resources.

The library uses global software to computerize the house-keeping activities of the library. SVNIT has a large campus with facilities for both outdoor and indoor games. The outdoor games facilities include a 400m athletic track, football, cricket, 2 basketball courts, 2 lawn tennis courts, kabaddi, kho-kho, handball, and volleyball. The indoor games facilities include table tennis, badminton, chess, caroms, and a well-equipped gymnasium. The health center of SVNIT is a full-fledged Out-Patient Department with the availability of a resident doctor and 6 visiting medical consultants. The health center has all the facilities needed for basic health care.

The institute has impaneled with a few hospitals in the locality for advanced health care. The service of an ambulance in case of emergency is also available. Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat is now functioning temporarily on the campus of  SVNIT Surat which provides all the amenities needed for the smooth functioning of the institute. IIIT uses facilities available on the campus at SVNIT like the central library, sports/fitness facilities, health center, canteen, and hostels. Other facilities available on the campus are the availability of a post office, a bank of State Bank of India, and 2 ATMs (SBI and Canara bank). All these are housed in front of the main gate. 

IIIT Surat Placement:

The salary package offered will be around 6 LPA-10 LPA. Now, this college is running in SVNIT, so its placements are also conducted with NIT students. So most of the reputed companies which visit NIT college also visit our college. Exposure to the future for students. As there is no batch in the final year yet, no one got placed. But training and placement cell work well with providing a good internship and guiding us for a better tomorrow. Around 50% of students got internships with some good companies. Faculty members also help and give useful advice for placement. More details for the placement in Una is given below:

• The University conducts training on aptitude tests, soft skills, motivational talks, industrial visits, professional certificate courses, and talent enrichment programs.
• Students are provided with information, advice, guidance, and support by the University which is required for getting placed.
• Campus interviews are organized for final year students.
• Many reputed companies visit the campus to conduct placement drives.

IIIT Surat Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates seeking admission at the Indian Institute of Information Technology eligibility criteria must check their eligibility before applying. Indian Institute of Technology surat provides undergraduate courses.

IIIT Surat Admission:

IIIT Surat offers admission in online mode through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The application process usually commences in the month of February. In order to seek admission to the courses offered at the institute, candidates need to appear for the following national/ institute-level entrance exams along with the fulfilment of the basic eligibility criteria.IIT Surat BTech admission is based on a candidate's valid score in JEE  followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority counselling. The final seat allotment for all the three UG programmes is done through seven rounds of JoSAA counselling. The remaining vacant seats are filled through special rounds of CSBA counselling. The institute follows reservation in admissions as per the rules of Government of India. The counselling process is managed and regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) based on which the candidates are allotted seats. The seat allotment is based on the college cutoff and candidate's preference for courses and colleges. The registration and choice filling of JoSAA 2020 generally begins from the third week of June in online mode. 

IIIT Surat Hostel Details:

IIIT Surat is now functioning temporarily on the campus of  SVNIT Surat which provides all the amenities needed for the smooth functioning of the institute. IIIT Surat uses the hostel facility available on the SVNIT campus for its students. IIIT Surat uses 3 hostels of SVNIT for its students, of which 2 are for boys and 1 for girls. Hostel Gajjar Bhavan and Tagore Bhavan are used as boys hostels and Mother Teresa Bhavan is used as a girls hostel.

Gajjar Bhavan Hostel is for IIIT freshers and is only available in double shared rooms. Hostel Tagore Bhavan is for the senior students and is available in both single and double shared rooms. The girls' hostel, Mother Teresa Bhavan is only available in single shared but double shared is provided if desired. The hostel provides all basic amenities and also has a mess.
