Infrastructure Facilities at Indian Veterinary Research Institute, [IVRI] Bareilly:
Library:
- The National Library of Veterinary Sciences at IVRI has a collection of more than 2,50,000 highly specialized reading material in various forms.
- The library has facilities for information, access and retrieval from CD-ROM databases in the multi-user environment are provided using CD-Mirror Hybrid Server.
- Library uses KOHA V.3.8 software for automating library activities.
- Ph.D. theses are available in the library and have been digitalized in its PDF form and are available for use on library premises.
- Library provides E-mail and Internet facilities to users at 24 terminals during all working hours.
- Air condition is available in three sections of the library.
- 22 cameras are used in various sections of the library for electronic surveillance.
- Photocopy facility is also made available in the library at nominal charges.
Sports and Recreation:
- Spacious playgrounds are provided in the students’ hostels and necessary facilities exist for outdoor games like cricket, hockey, volleyball, badminton, etc.
- There are facilities for indoor games in every hostel.
- There is a Student Sports Fund to which every student is required to pay a sum of Rs. 200/- at the start of a new academic year to improve the facilities and promote activities among them.
Medical Facilities:
- The Institute dispensary is located within the campus.
- Students are looked after by qualified medical officers.
- The residence of the medical officers is on the campus. This ensures round the clock availability for students.
- Medical services are provided at the dispensary in the Institution.
Student Hostel Mess:
- Meals can be taken by ever hosteller on payment of the charges fixed by the Competent Authority.
Computer Centre:
- Well developed Computer Centre with facilities for statistical analysis of data.
- A course on Data Processing and Computer Application is offered to P.G students by the Computer Centre.
- Internet, Intranet, and e-mail are also available for students’ use.
Communication Centre:
The Communication Centre provides support in the form of:
