Scholarships at Indian Veterinary Research Institute, [IVRI] Bareilly:

Institute Scholarship:

Scholarships are awarded to MVSc and Ph.D. students based on the following terms and conditions:

Applicable to candidates who get admitted through competitive entrance examinations for MVSc/Ph.D. programmes.
Fresh students awards will be made by the Joint Director of the Institute based on the recommendation of the ‘Standing Committee on Scholarship, Financial Assistance and Academic Progress’ which will take the merit of each applicant into consideration based on his/her admission and performance at the Institute.
The duration of the scholarship for MVSc course will be of two years.
The duration of the scholarship for the Ph.D. course will be of three years.
Initially, the scholarship will be authorized for one year. It is essential that the CGPA of 7.00 out of 10.00 is maintained at the end of every year for Masters or Doctors Degree students in order to attain the scholarship.
No scholarship will be paid for if the CGPA is lower than 7.00 out of 10.00. If a student obtains “F” grade in any course other than in English or audit course, he/she will not get a scholarship until he/she clears the course.
The scholarship will be paid for the period of stay in the Institute (inclusive of summer vacation, semester breaks, and other such leaves) up to the date of final viva -voce (i.e. till they are on the rolls) subject to the condition that the maximum period of scholarship prescribed in the Academic Regulation shall in no case be extended and the student marks his/her attendance in the Division/Section concerned.

Amount of scholarship:

Scholarship for the Master’s Degree programme is Rs. 7,560/- per month for 2 years with a contingent grant of Rs. 6,000/- per annum for two years.
Scholarships for the Doctoral programme is Rs. 13125/- per month for three years with a contingent grant of Rs. 10000/- per annum for three years.
