Campus Life

The University campus is spread across 16 acres land far from the clamor of the city, which helps providing a peaceful environment to the students. The campus has a state-of-the-art infrastructure including hostel facilities, canteen, academic blocks, playground and library providing an enriching experience to the students.

With an in-house Solar Panel, the campus is energy sufficient. Apart from separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls including international students, we provide limited accommodation for faculty members. Spacious classrooms, big playgrounds and a library full of books aren’t the only attractions for students; the campus has real airplanes to have hands-on experience for students of Aircraft Maintenance.

Facilities

Library

Spread across over 600 sqm, Indus University has a well-stocked library, a source of latest information related to a diversified discipline of science, engineering, and management. It has a collection of over 25,000 titles besides subscriptions for more than 250 National and International Journals. It also possesses Electronic Resources on books, journals, project reports along with CDs and DVDs on specific topics of interest. One can also find reprographic facilities in the library. It follows Dewey Decimal Classification System for the arrangement of the books and established practices in lending its resources to its faculties and students.

The library has an online publication access catalogue (OPAC) permitting the users on the campus to access the catalogue from their desk. Also, Indus library has an institutional membership with ADINET and DELNET providing online access to a large number of e-books and e-journals.

Classrooms

At Indus, lecture halls are well-ventilated and spacious, equipped with overhead and LCD projectors along with Public Address System, with arrangements for laptop power supply and comfortable contemporary furniture.

Seminar Halls

Seminar halls are fully furnished and are available for various Co-Curricular activities all departments and constituent Institutions of the University.

Computing Facility

Indus University has leased line internet connection, which is locally networked and connected through more than 20 Wi-Fi routers covering the campus. Computer laboratories are equipped with the most advanced systems for both Windows and Linux servers. Students can get hands-on experience on the latest software packages and programmes and browse selected Internet Sites at the same time. All e-books and study materials including all academic related data can be accessed through campus connectivity. With its 24x7 internet connectivity and full-fledged integration with Google apps information sharing across various platforms is fast.

Canteen

Canteen at Indus considers the different tastes and preferences of students, faculty members and staff alike by providing refreshing lip smacking vegetarian delicacies. The Food Served at the canteen is examined at regularly for its health and hygiene.

The canteen can accommodate about 200 students at a time. Steam boilers are used for cooking rice and other vegetables which provide hygienic food without taking a lot of preparation time.

Hostel Facility

At Indus, hostel facilities are provided for both students as well as faculty members.

Sports Facility

Indus University has always encouraged students' participation in Extra-curricular activities not only by hosting specific Sports events but also sponsoring the participants in Competitions held elsewhere. Apart from creating infrastructure and facilities for varieties of indoor and outdoor games it has also sponsored several such events held by others. Indus University was the proud host while organizing Handball, Football and Kabbadi tournaments, an associated event of Spirit 2012 of Gujarat Technology University. SAE Baja Competition Students of Indus University have prominently and significantly contributed to Baja SAE Competition organized by SAE International and was proudly positioned at 11th position amongst 260 teams which have participated in the year 2013.

Transport Facility

University has a safe and secure Transport Service for the faculty members and students. The buses run on specific routes covering more than 60% of the city besides connects to the prime locations of the city. The bus timings are synchronized with the schedule of the University.

Auditorium

The University Auditorium, with a seating capacity of 600 people, is fully air conditioned and is a hub of all the functions and cultural activities happening in the University.
