Campus and Infrastructure
Our Campus is located in a serene, lush green environment. The sprawling campus of IHM is spread over 20 acres of land. It is centrally Air-Conditioned and aesthetically built to the world class standards with a fully Wi-Fi enabled infrastructure providing spacious class-rooms, library, computer and practical laboratories and playgrounds.
The Campus has uninterrupted power supply with backup generators. IHM is committed to provide skill based quality education in a congenial environment. We subscribe to the philosophy of blending modernity with tradition for nurturing talents.
Centrally air-conditioned Library
The College has a well established library that caters to the needs of the Undergraduate and Post Graduate students as well as the faculty. The college library has a huge collection of about 1000 books and journals in various disciplines of Hospitality, Computers, Business Communication, Airlines Tourism etc.
All the students have an easy access to the internet through computers installed in the library for accessing online journals. It's modular and functional style fulfills the purpose of a planned modern library. The library building is centrally air conditioned and has a seating capacity of about 200 readers. The library is fully computerized with an integrated system connected to the British Library allowing the students to access over 40,000 online journals.
The library also subscribes to national and international journals, periodicals, magazines on current affairs, general interest, national & regional dailies. The library maintains a video/DVD collection and serves as a gateway to thousands of scholarly databases, digital journals and electronic books.
The library is managed by a Librarian and an Assistant Librarian who are always available for one-on-one assistance throughout the day. The library has a heavy duty photocopier to cater to the needs of the students.
Fully Wi-Fi Campus and Computer Lab
The College provides modern teaching facilities and the building represents modern architecture, giving the precinct a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere.
The infrastructure also includes a state-of-the-art air conditioned computer laboratory with 5 servers, over 100 computers and internet facilities along with an independent work stations providing hands on experience to our students.
We have a lease line with 6 MBPS Internet Speed. Internet access for our students is much more than a need, it is a way of life. All the servers are protected with Firewall which provides a security system in our network and also prevents unauthorized accessing of internal network.
We also provide on-line hospitality training to students facilitating them to use and operate on Fidelio financials Micro and Opera servers. All the computers have licensed Microsoft Windows 8 programme.
State of Art Classrooms
All the classrooms are fully Air-Conditioned, well lit & well ventilated with ample natural light. It is also well equipped with multimedia projector. In addition, the classrooms have computers and web based aids which make learning a lot easier.
A vibrant atmosphere engulfs the students to learn the concepts faster.
Seminar Hall & Conference Hall.
A fully air conditioned and more than 200 seat Mini Auditorium for a seminar or conference with Audio- Visual facility.
Practical Labs
HOSPITALITY LABS
Restaurant/Bar:
Apart from the functional labs of Hospitality, we have designed our own Restaurant/Bar equivalent to the standards of a five star hotel having a seating arrangement of 44 guests with a lounge area where students perform their practical sessions. It is made with a view to educate students about the practical know-how of various kinds of hospitality dealings within the Restro/Bar which includes diverse styles of services, handling the guests and setting up of Buffets
House-Keeping Lab :
We facilitate our students with a model set up of a five star Hotel Room for extending a hands on experience in house-keeping services including serving the guests, maintenance of rooms, laundry services and cleaning of different types of metals and surfaces etc.
Front Office Lab :
Front office lab matches the standards of a hotel that includes Front Desk with an installed OPERA software, Lodging Manager's Desk and a Concierge. There is also a display of World Clocks showing time in different parts of the world.
Students are imparted training in MICROS, a software used in Food & Beverages department where they are made familiar with Computerized Billing Transactions.

Hostel
We have separate Hostels for Boys & Girls with all necessary infrastructure and facilities including a WI-FI internet connectivity to cater to the needs of outstation students. The students share an apartment which has 4 bedrooms, 3 restrooms & a lobby. Each room is on twin sharing basis with separate beds, cupboards and a study table in every room for the occupants.
Hostels are provided uninterrupted power supply besides continuous availability of water supply. Hostels are equipped with geysers for hot water arrangements for the students in winters. Pure & clean drinking water & water coolers are also available in the hostels. Students can also avail laundry services for washing and ironing as per their requirements.
There is a well-furnished recreation hall fully equipped with all the modern facilities having a 40' inch flat L.E.D T.V mounted on the wall Board, Chess etc and magazines are also kept for the recreation of the students. Boys and Girls hostels have a facility of an Air-Cooled Gymnasium Hall which offers top quality fitness equipment.
Transportation
The college offers excellent transport facilities to all students who commute within the radius of about 60 kms from the campus to cities like Chandigarh, Panchkula, Manimajra, Mohali, Zirakpur, Landran, Derabassi, kharar, Banur, Rajpura, Patiala, Ambala etc (depending upon the requirement).
The college has 10 Air conditioned buses and also 6 multipurpose vehicles to carry students for the purpose of excursions etc.
Every bus has a teacher and an attendant on duty during every pick up and dropping off students
Dining Hall & Cafeteria
A hygienic, spacious and well-ventilated cafeteria is run with a wide range of quality snacks & beverages for the faculty and students in IHM. We ensure tasty and nutritious food at a reasonable rate to the students and the faculty.
The College and as well as the Hostel has a separate Dining Hall/ Mess with a capacity to seat 300 students. A three course quality meal in form of breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided to the hostel students. Care is taken to provide nutritious and hygienic food to all. Students are also offered tea and snacks between lunch and dinner. Our Kitchen Staff takes extra care to provide a nutritious and hygienic food at campus.
