Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Gurdaspur seeks to provide a nurturing and learning environment both on and off-campus to foster ethical values, leadership qualities, and creative abilities. - Student service personnel manages a 76-cover restaurant that serves the chefs in the making. All forms of F&B services are taught to the students through practical demonstrations.
Laundry
- IHM Gurdaspur has well-equipped automated laundry and training facilities for students in guestroom management.
Library
- The IHM Gurdaspur library is well-stocked with the most recent books, periodicals, journals, both national and international, covering all aspects of the hotel, tourism, hospitality, travel, and management.
- The library also has a good collection of videotapes on management and hoteliers that students can watch. The IHM Gurdaspur library has multimedia resources that allow students to connect to the internet, and students are encouraged to use the free E-mail service.
Computer Lab
- There are 20 terminals on a Local Area Network with the latest multimedia systems and internet access. Students have worked with HMS and application packages.
Front Office
- The main training areas in this lab are role-playing, situation handling, other front office related exercises, property management systems, and accounting.
Hostel
- The hostel has a volleyball court and an in-house gymnasium located just adjacent to the main institute building. The IHM Gurdaspur hostel can accommodate 232 boys. The girls hostel is adjacent to the faculty block and is surrounded by green lawns. It has a well-built badminton court and an indoor table tennis facility.
New Academic Block
- The new academic block has the cutting-edge infrastructure and a truly futuristic design that can compete with the best in the business.
Executive Development Centre
- EDC is in its final stages of completion. It is designed to the standards of a boutique hotel, with ten fully furnished rooms, a restaurant, a conference, a banquet hall, and other quality hotel amenities. The addition of EDC will supplement the top-rated infrastructure and provide students with in-house training experience.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria of my course was simple you just need to clear one entrance exam which was held in the nearest ihm’s to your city. I live in Kanpur and I have given my entrance exam in IHM Lucknow. Another thing was that you have to score min. 60% in 12 frm a recognised board. Entrance exam was not difficult although the maths and reasoning part was bit difficult.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The are 2 hostels in college..seprated boys and girls... Pgs outside the cold is even better than the inside hostels..hostels take more fees don't provide too much..around 40,000 pre-sem...and Pgs are rented around 2000 per month..are better. Food in college.. is included in fees. Classrooms are good...libraries are best ...wifi is there but only for the administration.. not for students.

Clubs & Associations : Student societies are there in college..divided in different houses..and the campus people..support too....sports and cultural meet is also being held in college...time to time...
