Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology was established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh as a private university in the state of MP. The University is sponsored by Jaypee Group. The University was established based on the MOU between a non-profit trust, Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan and the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The aim of the university is to become a centre of excellence in Engineering and Technology in MP.

Jaypee University is one of the four universities established by the trust as an educational initiative for imparting Engineering education. The University recognises the role of IT and other emerging technologies in improving the quality of life of the people of India. It is approved by AICTE.

The university is a potential IT Hub and is being developed as a major centre to provide competent, well trained technical manpower to the region. The foundation stone of the university was laid by the then chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Digvijay Singh. More highlights about the university are mentioned below:

JUET Courses:

Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programs in many disciplines and specializations. The different courses offered by the university are mentioned below.

JUET Chemical Engineering:

Jaypee University offers undergraduate and postgraduate program in Chemical Engineering which are four years and two years course respectively. The Chemical Engineering Department of the university provides high quality education in their area of expertise.

The objectives of this course is to prepare the students for technical and analytical skills and equip students with abilities that could make them a professional engineer. The course focuses on subjects like organic chemistry, fluid mechanics, heat transfer operations, chemical reactions etc.

JUET Computer Science & Engineering:

Jaypee University formed the Department of Computer Science & Engineering to build the gap between traditional science and engineering disciplines. They offer both B.Tech and M.Tech Course in this specialisation. The course is dedicated to education, research and overall excellence providing a superior teaching environment for the students.

Software being one of the largest growing sectors, the department of computer science & engineering at JUET has been at the forefront of churning out software engineers. • There is a fully computerized by a web-based Library management software to access the online resources provided by the University.
• The Tagore Hall is centrally air cooled and has a seating capacity of 2200 with multiple entries & exits and facilities like Audio Visual facility and Multiscreen stage.
• The student mess is called Annapurna provide dining facilities to students and employees and there is a dining hall which can accommodate about 500 students in three of these dining halls.
• The Gym is equipped with a home gym, eight station Gym, all types of benches, power stepper, magnetic jogger, weight lifting kits, cable cross, twister, dumbbles, exercise bike, floor type weighing scale, etc.

JUET Admissions:

JUET admissions are done on the basis of merit and counseling is done for students applying through the JEE exam as well as directly. The admission is first done on the basis of the scores of the JEE exam.

The second is for students directly applying at the University, although it is applicable only after seats are filled up through the JEE exam application forms are available online. The candidate must fill up the JUET form and submit at JIIT Noida.  

JUET Hostel Details:

JUET provides separate hostel facility for boys and girls with all basic amenities. Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology Facilities are state of the art with all modern amenities. More details about the hostels facilities are mentioned below.

• The boys hostel can accommodate 2360 students and the girls hostel can accommodate 424 students, with 2/ 3 sharing.
