Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biostatistics):
The applicants seeking admission must have to have a B.Sc. Degree in Statistics and Mathematics as a subsidiary subject. If such applicants seeking admission are awaiting their result, they are also eligible to apply for MS program. It is mandatory for the applicants to produce an attested copy of their final year mark sheet.
Diploma in Dairy Technology:
The applicants seeking admission must have a Bachelor’s Degree in either Dairy Science, Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Nutrition and Dietetics or Microbiology. In case, the applicants are awaiting their result, they will also be very much eligible to apply for the M.Sc. program. The applicants must have to produce an attested copy of their final year mark sheet.
Master of Science [M.Sc] (Molecular Biology & Biochemistry):
The applicants seeking admission must have a Bachelor's degree either in Biochemistry or Biotechnology. In case, the applicants are awaiting their result, they will also be very much eligible to apply for M.Sc. programme. The applicant seeking admission should produce an attested copy of the final year mark sheet.
Master of Science [M.Sc] (Applied Microbiology):
The applicants seeking admission should have a Bachelor’s degree either in Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science or Agriculture. The applicants awaiting their result will also be eligible to apply for M.Sc. program. The applicants seeking admission must produce an attested copy of the final year mark list.
Master of Science [M.Sc] (Animal Biotechnology):
The applicants seeking admission must have a B.Sc. or B.Tech degree in Biotechnology or B.Tech in Dairy Sciences or B.Sc. in Life Sciences.The applicants awaiting their result will also be eligible to apply for M.Sc. program. The applicants seeking admission should produce an attested copy of the final year mark list.
Master of Science [M.Sc] (Animal Science):
The applicants seeking admission must have a B.V.Sc. Degree or B.Sc. Degree in Agriculture and other Life Sciences or B.Sc. degree in Forestry. The applicants awaiting their result can also apply for the M.Sc. program. The applicants seeking admission should mandatorily produce an attested copy of the final year mark sheet.
Diploma in Poultry Production:
The applicants seeking admission should have passed in Plus Two or 12th grade or VHSE with Biology as one subject or VHSE specialized in Livestock Management. The applicants awaiting their results (undergraduation course or plus two) can also apply for the diploma course. The applicants seeking admission should produce an attested copy of the final year mark sheet.
The applicants seeking admission should submit the application forms through online platform only to apply for this program. There are three steps involved in order to apply for M.S or M.Sc. and Diploma programs.

The applicants seeking admission should fill-in the online application form available on the official website of KVASU by uploading his/her passport size color photograph (150WX200H pixels) and it should be duly signed by the applicant (250WX90H pixels). The size of photograph and signature must not exceed 30 KB.
After the applicant fills-in the application form, they should make sure that application fee is duly remitted in any of the following methods as given below:
When the application is submitted, a challan in triplicate (along with student copy, bank copy and University copy) will be automatically generated. The applicant seeking admission should take a printout of the challan and remit Rs.520/-(270/- for SC/ST candidates) as the application fee and bank processing charges using the challan at the nearest Federal Bank counter branch.
The applicant seeking admission should remit the fee at the time of submission of the application form through online payment mode using his or her credit card, debit card or Internet banking. The applicants should remit Rs.520/-/-(270/- for SC/ST candidates) as the application fee and bank processing charges.
After remitting application fee, the applicants seeking admission should take the print out of the online application submitted and send the same after affixing signature of the applicant in the space provided in the application form and send the same with the following enclosures to :

Selection of the applicants will be done by the university, on the basis of the marks obtained by that applicant in the qualifying exam and his/her score in the entrance examination conducted. The applicants seeking admission will be considered and given preference, only if they secure a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance examination that is conducted by the BOARD. The minimum cut-off for SC/ST candidates is 30% aggregate marks.
About Entrance Test and Interview:
There will be a separate entrance examination and interview for each of the applicants seeking admission. Entrance examination will be for one hour duration consisting of multiple choice questions with or without negative marking (depends on the university and the Board). The entrance exam will be held at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy (Thrissur) and Interview will be conducted at CVAS, Mannuthy (Thrissur) and the list of selected applicants seeking admission will be published. The originals of all certificates and documents should be produced by the applicants at the time of the interview and at the time of admission.
Diploma in Science & UG Diploma in Agriculture:
Selection process shall be done by the university on the basis of the marks obtained in qualifying exam and score obtained by such applicants seeking admission, in the entrance exam. Applicants seeking admission will be considered for admission and will be given preference only if they secure a minimum of 40% aggregrate marks in the entrance examination that is conducted. The minimum is 30% aggregrate marks for SC/ST candidates.
About Entrance Test and Interview:

Reservation of seats shall be governed by the rules of the Kerala State Government. 25% of the seats shall be reserved for those eligible candidates sponsored by the ICAR based on All India Entrance Examination to be conducted by them.
Fee will be exempted for those applicants belonging to SC/ST and communal reservation of seats are restricted to the applicants belonging to SC/ST and other eligible communities of Kerala origin as per the rules in force.
