Medical Facilities: Kumaun University has partnered with some of the best hospitals in the area to provide immediate medical care to ill students. An ambulance van is available to transport unwell students to hospitals. On the university's campus, first aid services are offered. To cover any unforeseen circumstances, the students are covered by full medical insurance. The following benefits are available to students who are insured by insurance:

• Medical claims (hospitalisation) are covered for Rs. 75,000, and medical claims (daycare) are covered for Rs. 10,000, according to the policy's terms and limitations.
• Students hospitalisation claims are compensated if they fall within the policy's coverage parameters. If the therapy is received in a non-empanelled hospital, reimbursement is also possible.
