Entrance Exams & Admissions :
Students who have passed 12th standard or equivalent can apply for admission.

The atmosphere at L.B.S. College of Engineering, Kasaragod is sufficient for a skilled student. But a for technology seeking guy, he may feel difficulty in coping up with the campus. Because the faculties are good in theory but not so much when it comes to practical facts.
Sometimes a student may feel bad if he wants to get a permission for attending some internship/training/workshop etc.
Campus recruitments are usually available for students from all branches except mechanical and civil branches. But placement cell is still trying hard to bring core mechanical companies to the campus.
There is an effective alumni association in the college. The college has started a reprographic centre by the guidance alumni association.
Academics & Faculty :
The daily routine at L.B.S. College of Engineering, Kasaragod starts with the class starting from 9:30am and ending at 4:30pm. There is a lunch break at 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
There will be 2 evaluation tests conducted for each subject in each semester. Also, 2 assignment should be submitted for each subject.
There will be a mini project and main project in the final year.
The quality and methods of teaching are good. So the college academics is satisfactory.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Separate hostels are present for each year students in the case of men. The final year students hostel is located inside the campus and is the one of the best infrastructure, wifi, games room, etc. Other hostels are quite satisfactory but are a bit far from the campus. But College bus is provided for traveling from and to the hostel.
In the case of ladies, there are two hostels present, both inside the campus. Final year students have a separate hostel and all other year student has the same hostel but different floors.These ladies hostels are very spacious and enough for an ordinary student. The hostel fee is Rs. 500 to Rs. 600 per month.
PGs are available near the college. But they are not so spacious and has no mess either. The PG costs more than the college hostel (Rs. 1,000 per month). So, it's not so economical.
Food is available at the college canteen. Here morning, noon and evening foods are available at a cheaper rate and good quality. The noon meals cost only Rs.20.
The classrooms are really good and labs are well equipped.
There is a central library present which has a wide variety collection of technical and non-technical books and magazines. The library membership is open for every student and is really easy to access. These have an electronic access. So students can find out the books very easily.
There is a department library is also present in the department of mechanical engineering. This is especially for mechanical engineering students.
The dining hall in mess/canteens is clean and healthy. There are separate workers present for daily cleaning and arrangements.
Students also get free Wi-Fi at the campus by registering at the college.
Clubs & Associations :
There's an active unit of National Service Scheme(NSS) at L.B.S. College of Engineering, Kasaragod.
Also for debate and literature, there is Delite club.
For technology seeking students, there is Techcellence.
Also there is a unit of IEEE, IEDC which is a state level or national level clubs.
There is also political association formed by students like SFI, KSU, MSF.
There is a national level south Indian cultural fest known as Srishti. It famous in south India and student from all over south India comes and participates in the event.
Another tech fest called Mechathlon is conducted by the students of the Mechanical department. This is also popular in north Kerala.
Other tech fests like Teranis(IT,CS), Exemius(EC) from other departments of the college are also conducted.
The overall life of the college is quite good and it is unique because of the rural area of the college.
So a local village feeling also gets from the college life. So townish guys may feel a little bit difficult in the beginning but will overcome it in due time and after the course, it will be a great miss.
