MITS Gwalior has a placement cell, popularly known as the Training and Placement Cell (T and P Cell), that aims to provide students with the best opportunities and place them in their dream companies. The cell is managed by the faculty in charge, who has substantial potential and experience in conducting the training for the recruitment sessions. The MITS Gwalior placement cell provides placement support and conducts final placements for students of all courses and programs. 

The main objective of the Training and Placement Cell is to connect students with potential recruiters and to organise and manage the whole campus placement process. The Madhav Institute of Technology and Science Gwalior holds career orientation programs, industrial training, and other developmental activities for students to prepare them for final placements. The T and P cell also conducts various workshops, seminars, guest lectures, etc. to provide the required exposure for students.

The MITS Gwalior placement cell is known to organise soft skill and professional skill training sessions for students to meet industry expectations. The T and P cell also conducts motivational, guiding, and placement training sessions to improve students' personality development, group discussion, aptitude skills, and presentation skills.

MITS Gwalior Placement Process

The step-by-step process for conducting the annual MITS Gwalior recruitment drive is described below.

• The MITS Gwalior placement cell sends invitations and other necessary details of the students to potential recruiters.
• Interested employers must fill out and send back the job application sent by the MITS Gwalior placement team.
• Pre-placement discussions are organised on campus once the institute and the firms' negotiations are finalised.
• Job descriptions, CTC offered, and other relevant information are shared with the students, and interested students are asked to apply for the organisation's recruitment drive.
• The recruiting organisations visit the campus on appointed days to recruit eligible candidates through several rounds of aptitude examinations, group discussions, and interviews.
• Selected candidates are issued offer letters through the Madhav Institute of Technology and Science Gwalior placement cell.

MITS Gwalior Internship

Internships are an integral part of the MITS Gwalior placement procedure. Eligible students are placed in various companies for a duration of 6 to 8 weeks, under the supervision and guidance of respective industry personnel. The students gain experience and exposure to the professional world during their internship tenure. Students also participate in projects reflecting the needs and problems of the industry.

Based on their performance and merit, students have the opportunity to convert their internship offers into pre-placement offers for the final recruitment season. Around 873 students from all the courses have done their internship in 2024, of which 311 students received a stipend during their internship tenure. The highest stipend in 2024, INR 1.10 Lakh per Month, was offered to students of the Computer Science and Engineering department. However, the Civil Engineering department recorded the best internship placement percentage, 97.88%, during the MITS Gwalior internship drive of 2024.
