MIET Infrastructure: Library, Labs & Other Facilities

Library

MIET boasts a vast library with over 12500 books and monographs and scores of unique digital content including a portfolio of distinguished special collections. National and International journals – both current and back volumes – are available in print and digital form. The library also provides access to hundreds of scholarly databases with the most comprehensive, specialized and up-to-date information on various technical topics. An audio-visual center with a large collection of educational videos has also been set up. Archives of digital and audio-visual content are maintained in CDs which are available on request. The library is currently in the process of digitizing unique materials and collections in order to make them available to users at all times.

Transportation

Our college owns a fleet of 12 buses and these buses operate along nearly 28 routes in and around Madurai, Sivagangai and Viruthunagar Districts. Our transport facilities ensure that our students and staff are able to reach the college in time.

Power House

Our college has 62.5 KVA Generator which enables our campus to have non-stop power supply. It enables our campus to have centralized Air conditioning machine to be operated for the Computer Laboratory, Electrical Laboratory, Conference hall and various other areas. The generator acts as an uninterrupted power supply resource for our Sophisticated Campus.

Hostel

MIET aims at training professionals of higher standard. The rules and regulations are framed to train the students for reaching their goals. It aims at ensuring harmonious and friendly living among the students of various states, and inculcating self discipline in each individual and making the hostels serve as a training ground for a purified, and successful life and for the development of body, mind and soul as a whole in every student. The Hostels are under the overall Managing control of the Principal, AO, CEO and the Chief warden of the hostels.

WIFI Facility:

The entire campus is Wi-fi enabled with a high speed internet connection to allow the students to access the internet no-matter wherever they are. The coverage is not just limited to the classrooms, instead it extends to all the facilities within the campus premises.

Internet Facilities:

• BandWidth – 2 Mbps(1 : 1).
• Internet Server (Fortigate Firewall).
• 200 Systems are facilitated with internet facility out of 426 systems.
• Internet Center for Students and Faculty.
• WiFi Connectivity in all blocks.

Medical Facilities

• A part time Medical officer has been appointed in the campus to take care of sick students and staff.
• All the needy students and staff can get free consultation and medicine.
