MAEER's Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training was established in 2001 at the MIT Kothrud Campus with the goal of preparing cadets for careers in the Merchant Navy. The campus is well-equipped with all the basic facilities.

The institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities. All the basic amenities required for the students are present in the institute.
Library: The institute's library is separated into two sections: B. Tech and B.Sc. The library's goal is to equip students with a wealth of resources. The library offers 8,198 books arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme.
Hostels: Students can stay in state-of-the-art hostels provided by the institute. It is a requirement for all cadets to remain in the institute's hostel. This gives the cadets a sense of things that will assist them in preparing for their future professions at sea. An experienced in-house warden oversees the well-equipped hostel. Each room at the hostel is equipped with closets, a study table, chairs, cots with beds, and other amenities and may accommodate up to two cadets.
