A placement cell has been formed to arrange for the placement of our students in Industries. During the past academic sessions, many students have been appointed as Programmer Trainees in leading Software companies. Interested students regularly keep contact with prof. Monali Poddar, Head of the Department of Computer Science.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
The College admits students irrespective of caste, creed, and sex. Application for admission in the prescribed from the College Website online on and from the date to be notified by the college for this purpose. The following documents should be submitted at the time of admission: Original mark-sheet of the last examination passed. Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent Examination for age proof. Transfer Certificate in case of students coming from other institutions. Migration Certificate for students coming from other Universities/Boards outside W.B S.C./S.T. Certificate from the competent authority, in original, wherever applicable. Two passport size Photographs. Admission of S.C/S.T. candidates is as per Govt. Rules.
Fees & Scholarships :
All fees, inclusive of Tuition fees (till October) are to be paid at the time of admission. Tuition Fee for every month must be paid on the last day of that month. Bus / Tram / Railway fare concession certificate, etc. will not be issued to any defaulter.
Academics & Faculty :
AFFILIATION & COURSES OF STUDY: Students cannot take a subject at the degree level either in Honours or General Courses if they have failed in that subject in the previous examination. College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
A number of free & partially free tuitions are granted to the poor, meritorious and deserving students. Continuation of these concessions will depend on good conduct, regular attendance and satisfactory progress of the student. A number of scholarships and stipends are also available from the College. Bonafide students of the college are entitled to Tram, Bus, and Railway fare concessions subject to the fulfillment of conditions laid down by the appropriate authority. The College awards a number of prizes on the basis of the results of University Examinations. Merit prizes inclusive of endowment prizes are awarded both on the basis of overall performance as well as on the performance in individual subjects. The endowment prizes are sponsored by the faculty members, college PRAKTANI ex-teachers, and well-wishers. Gold plated Medals are awarded to the students securing first class marks in the Final University Examination. These prizes are awarded at a special function arranged for the purpose.
