Maharaja Manindra Chandra College (MMCC) was established on 15th July, 1941 at 20,Ramakanto Bose Street,Kolkata-700003,due to the drive and super initiative of some spirit of Dr.Panchanan Neogi,a well-known educationist of the time.
MMCC provides both core courses and Elective courses.Core courses includes BA,B.Sc,B,Com (honours) programme a student shall have to compulsory study a total of 14 core courses of the honours subject in 6 semesters.And elective courses includes Discipline Specific Elective courses (DSE) and Generic Courses (GE).Along with these two elective courses,MMCC provides additional elective courses like Ability Enhancement Course (AEC) which includes Ability Enhancement 1Compulsory Course (AECC) and Skill Enhancement Course (SEC).

The tuition fees of some courses are given here in yearly basis. The total fees structure for B.Sc. courses (honor’s) is at INR 1320 at for general course is at INR 1020. For B.Com (honors) the total fee is at INR 1020 and for the general courses it at INR 720. For BA (honors’) the total fees structure is at INR 900 and for the general courses it is at INR 600.
MMC college offers BA,B.Sc and B.Com in seven different disciplines at UG level.Based on the of class 12 examination or completed 10+2 equivalent from a recognised board admission are granted.Student needs to clear mentioned cut off percentages (%) to apply for their selected UG courses.

1. How to get admission to Maharaja Manindra Chandra College(MMCC)?
- Eligibility criteria of application for admission in Honours subjects. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (of best 4 subjects excluding compulsory Environmental Education or Studies) and 45% marks in the subject or related subject in the pre qualifying examination.Or, 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.Or,55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
