Entrance Exams & Admissions :
Eligibility 10+2 Entrance exam Combined Pre-Medical Test or National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Admission Procedure Get a rank of around 2000 nationally or 500 state wise, then go for counselling n select the college. Typical cutoff. is usually changes a lot but fairly if you score above 550 marks in NEET exam you are likely to get the college.
Fees & Scholarships :
The fee is very nominal. It is INR 24,000/- per annum + INR 6000/- hostel fee per annum. The scholarship is available to all BPL students where 100% is reimbursed. On an average, 50% of the students get a scholarship. I believe no loan is needed for such a nominal fee where you can get a scholarship pretty easily if you are in need.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
There are 6 hostels 2 Undergrad Boys hostels, 1 Undergrad Girls hostel, 1 Postgrad Boys hostel, 1 Postgrad Girls hostel, 1 Married Postgrad hostel. The hostels are all in good condition and are currently being renovated. The hostel fee is INR 500/- per month along with 2000/- for the mess charge. There are a lot of reasonable PGs around the college but the cheapest, as well as the best option, is staying in the hostel itself. Lecture theatres have a good seating capacity and acoustics. The labs are kind of old and need renovation. The Library hosts free wifi with no restrictions of sites.
Clubs & Associations :
There are four major societies - Cultural society, Sports Society, Literary Society and Clinical Society. These all have professors as their Presidents and Vice Presidents while a panel of students is elected every year for the posts of secretary, joint secretary and treasurer. The main festivals include - GOONJ organised by The Cultural Society UMANG organised by The Sports Society AROH organised by The Literary Society HORIZON organised by The Clinical Society The overall life is fun in the eventful college although you have to study throughout to score well in the exams.
