Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College BSc: Courses, Eligibility

Placements & Internships : I have not done any internship. Mainly IT companies like Wipro, Infosys etc come to our college for placements. The highest salary is INR 2 lakh per year and as per my knowledge, 95% students have been placed. The Alumni network is pretty good, we have a separate association for that.  

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility Criteria was to pass 10+2 exam with a minimum 50% for my course and the admission procedure includes Application submission, documents submission and personal interview with the principal of the college. I did not take any entrance exam. The cutoff marks are 50% in 10+2 examination.

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee is INR 20,000 per year approximately. The CV Raman Scholarship is available for the students and many other scholarships are also there. Approximately 95% of students get the scholarship. No, loans are not needed.

Academics & Faculty : The class Timings are really comfortable as I come from far place for classes, the class timing is from 9 am to 5 pm. I have no such idea about the projects as I am in the 1st year but teachers give us the assignments on weekly basis. Exams go really good as our faculties are thorough with the subjects and they make us prepare the same thoroughly. The method of teaching is really good. The overall experience is pretty good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 hostels for both for boys and girls. I have no idea about the fees as I don't stay in Hostel. There are plenty of options for PGs around the campus with good quality food and reasonable fees, explained by my friends. Food in college is homely food, and cheaper also that is INR 20 to INR 25R per meal. The classrooms are well furnished, even labs are comfortable. The library is huge and really comfortable to study there. 

Clubs & Associations : We have a good number of clubs and associations like IT club, Science Club, Commerce Club, Hindi Sangh, Kannada association, sports club, NCC, NSS SWC etc. The main festivals are Sports Day, Hindi Day, NCC Day, SWC Day, annual Function for 5 days. In general, the life in my college is really good.
