Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth is an agricultural college, mainly focusing on providing admissions for various courses in agricultural science. With the studies performed in agriculture, the university helps the farmers with the latest details about the technology and how one can cultivate crop with modern techniques more efficiently. The university was fully established and functioning in the year 1968 in Mumbai and 10 years down the line agriculture was the main focus and therefore admissions were provided bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate in Agricultural technology. B.sc Admission 2024 

B.sc, Bachelor’s of science has various specializations, which has a course duration of 4 years that is divided into 8 semesters. All the specializations mainly focus on agriculture and management. Admissions for B.sc is provided based on the eligibility criteria one must satisfy. 

Eligibility Criteria 2024

One must have cleared standard 10 and 12, in the science stream. The university must be recognized by the Maharastra State Board of secondary high school. In class 12, one must have an option for either of these courses to be eligible i.e PCB, PCMB, PCM, or Inter agriculture, and must have also passed in English. One must appear and clear the qualifying entrance exams.   

Selection Process 2024

The selection process is merely based on the scores obtained in class 10 and 12 and the scores obtained in the entrance exams. The entrance exams one must clear to be selected for the B.Sc course at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth are Common entrance examinations i.e MHT-CET/ JEE/ NEET/ AIEEA-UG which is conducted by the competent authority every year in PCB or PCM subjects.

B.Tech Admission 2024 

B.Tech, Bachelor of Technology again has multiple specializations with a similar course duration of 4 years with 8 semesters one must clear to be a qualified engineer in the field of agriculture. The admissions process again will remain quite similar for all UG processes with slightly varied eligibility criteria. 

Eligibility Criteria 2024

The interested candidate must have passed class 10 and 12 which is recognized by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary School/equivalent, with PCM or PCMB along with English. Studies who were not offered Biology will have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by the university. 

Selection Process 2024

The selection process is based on the scores obtained in classes 10 and 12. One must also attend the qualifying entrance examinations like MHT-CET, JEE, NEET, AIEEA-UG are organized by the competent authority during every academic year in PCB or PCM subjects.

M.Sc Admission 2024 

M.Sc, Master of science admissions are given to students who wish you pursue their studies in the field of Horticulture, and biotechnology. Biotechnology recently has great potential with huge options in career.

Eligibility Criteria 2024

Eligibility for M.Sc Agriculture requires one to have a 4 years degree in any of these subjects - B.Sc (Agri), BBA (Agri), Bsc (ABM), B.sc (BBM), B.Sc (Biotech) B.Tech( Food tech) home science from any recognized agricultural universities. 

Eligibility for M.Sc Horticulture requires one to have a 4 years degree in any of these subjects -B.Sc.(Agri.)/B.Sc.(Horti.)/B.Sc. (Forestry) degree or equivalent degree.

Eligibility for M.Sc Agricultural biotechnology requires one to have a 4 years degree in any of these subjects- B.Sc.(Agri.) / B.Sc.(Agri. Bio-Tech.) / B.Sc.(Horti.) / B.Sc.(Forestry) / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (Food Tech.) or equivalent degree.

Selection Process 2024

The selection process is based on the scores obtained during the bachelor's course and the scores obtained in MAUEB entrance exams that are conducted in Agriculture( M.Sc Agriculture),  Horticulture( M.Sc Horticulture), and in Agricultural Bio-Technology faculty conducted by the university. 

• MSc Agriculture credit load is 50, 
• MSc Horticulture credit load is 50,
• MSc Agricultural Biotechnology credit load is 50

M.B.A Admission 2024 

Admissions at MBA is provided for agriculture which a 2-year course divided into 4 semesters. One must fulfill certain eligibility criteria to study at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, [MPKV] Pune. The specialization for MBA course is mentioned in the tabulation below.

Selection Process 2024

The selection process depends on the marks scored in the bachelor’s degree course and also the university conducts MAUEB entrance exams every year which the interested candidate must appear and clear with qualifying marks. 

M.Tech Admission 2024 

M.Tech admissions are available to students who have graduated with a B.Tech. (Agri. Engg) degree passed or equivalent degree. The bachelor's course must have been 4 years from a recognized board of Maharastra.

Eligibility Criteria 2024

The interested candidate must have B.Tech. (Agri. Engg) degree passed or equivalent degree. The bachelor's degree certificate with qualifying marks to be eligible to study M.Tech. 

Selection Process 2024

The selection process is solely dependant on the scores obtained by the student in bachelor's degree B.Tech(Agri) and also attend to clear the entrance exams conducted by the university which is MAUEB with qualifying marks. 

Doctorate Admission 2024 

Doctorate programs are provided by the university and admissions for the same are open to students who fulfill the eligibility criteria. Students with good CGPA are ideally the ones to be selected for Doctor programs at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, [MPKV] Pune. The course duration will remain 3 years which divided into 6 semesters. 

Eligibility Criteria 2024

For Doctorate in agriculture, one must have completed M.Sc (Agri) / M.Sc (Hort.) degree from an agricultural university recognized by the Maharashtra state board. 

For Doctorate in Agricultural Engineering, one must have completed an M.Tech degree from any 

any agricultural university recognized by the Maharashtra state board. 

Selection Process 2024

The selection process is based on the marks obtained in Masters’s degree. The applicant must have a CGPA in their post-graduation degree with a minimum score of 6.5 CGPA. And also must appear to clear MAUEB an entrance exam conducted by the university every year.

The credit load for both doctorate courses will remain 70 each. 

Diploma and other certifications Admission 2024 

The diploma is provided in the field of Agricultural Technology which is a 2-year course. 

There are other certification courses one can take in the field of agriculture without satisfying a tough eligibility criterion. The course duration is one year. The intake for the certification course is 40.

Eligibility Criteria 2024

Certificate courses require the interested candidates to clear class 9. The diploma course will require the candidate to complete classes 10 and 12.
