Entrance Exams & Admissions : MIMIT stands for Malout Institute for Management and Information Technology. It is a place which offers Btech (ECE, CSE, ME, IT) and MBA courses. You should be senior secondary pass out with a minimum percentage of 60% with subjects chosen to be physics, chemistry and maths. You can get counselling call on the basis of your marks in JEE MAIN. The typical cutoff for these exams is 70% (GEN), 65% (SC/ST).

The scholarship amount is Rs.30000. The candidate has to pay an amount of Rs.18,968 per semester including the refundable amount of Rs.4000. General category students who have scored 80%-89.99% in 12th/diploma, get 90% waiver on tuition fee. The scholarship amount is Rs.27000. The candidate has to pay an amount of Rs.21,968 per semester including the refundable amount of Rs.4000. General category students who have scored 70%-79.99% in 12th/diploma, get 80% waiver on tuition fee. The scholarship amount is Rs.24000. The candidate has to pay an amount of Rs.24,968 per semester including the refundable amount of Rs.4000. General category students who have scored 60%-69.99% in 12th/diploma, get 70% waiver on tuition fee. The scholarship amount is Rs.21000. The candidate has to pay an amount of Rs.27,968 per semester including the refundable amount of Rs.4000. Apart from this, a counselling fee of Rs.2000 has to be paid at the time of admission which is non-refundable.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : College Infrastructure is very good. Beautiful as compared to other government colleges in Punjab affiliated to PTU. Two hostels for both boys and girls, spacious rooms, good food, fast WiFi, attractive classrooms. Hostel's atmosphere is very friendly. Warden is very helpful and co-operative. Meals are economical as much students can afford.
