Meenakshi Ramasamy Educational Trust was founded in the year 2000 by the philanthropist, harbinger, Kalvithanthai M.Ramasamy Mudaliar to provide a high quality of Higher Education in the rural areas of Ariyalur District, Tamil Nadu. There was no college of education in the district before the inception of this college. This is the first self-financing B.Ed. college in the district to create a very good qualified teacher. The motto of the college is self–confidence, striving, and strenuous work. The Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai has granted affiliation from 01.08.2008.
