Midnapore College is an autonomous college, established in the year 1873. It is the oldest college in Midnapore affiliated with Vidyasagar University. It has been given autonomous status by University Grants Commission (UGC). The college runs various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in multiple disciplines. It also offers Diploma and PG Diploma programs.Admission to all the courses offered by Midnapore College is based on merit secured in the qualifying examination.

Selected candidates have to submit their Self-Attested Xerox copies of following documents at the time of counseling:
