Library

The Library is a treasure house of books and serves in coordination with the advisor committee. It has an Internet facility and has a wide collection of CD's, Course Books, Reference Books, Periodicals, Journals and Academic Magazines. It has four sections earmarked for Reference Section, Reading Room, and lending Section.

There is a separate Reference Room for the benefit of girl students.
1. Working days and hours of the Library The library will remain open on all working days from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
2. Library Membership
i) Regular students of the college are entitled to borrow two books at a time for I and Ilnd year, three books for 111rd year and EG. Students.
ii) Students may retain books for a period not exceedin a fortnight. The librarian however may at any time recall volume for special reasons.

Sports and Games 

The spacious grounds are optimally utilized for various sports and games under the supervision of a Physical Director. There is a well developed Gym and a playground with equipment for Cricket. Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Badminton, and Shuttle. Indoor Games like Table Tennis, Chess and Caroms are also encouraged. Students are motivated and trained to compete at University. State and National Level Competitions. 

Performance Evaluation 

There is regular performance evaluation to assess the academic standard and performance of the students. Remedial Classes, Bridge Courses and regular assignments help the students in improving their level of performance. 

Extra Curricular And Co-Curricular Activities 

Mumtaz, College has an NCC unit belonging to 3(A) Bn. and the NCC unit of the college recruits students and trains them to participate in camps and RD parades. The NSS attached to Osmania University has boys and girls wing which functions for healthy society with awareness development activities. The Eco. Club is active in the campus with the Director of National Green Crops of A.P. providing different eco-awareness material. Youth Red Cross Society (YRCS) is also an integral part of student life in the college. Students at Mumtaz College are encouraged to participate in literary activities conducted regularly by the Department of English and Second Languages. Essay Writing, Elocution, Debate, Quiz Competition. Dumb Charades, Just A Minute and Slogan Writing Competitions are held to tap the linguistic talent of the students. College Magazine is brought out to showcase the achievements of the college and its students. 

Canteen 

A canteen is provided in the college premises where tea, coffee, and snacks are made available at nominal cost.
