Placements & Internships : National Institute of Technology is very active in providing internships and jobs opportunities for students. Around 50% students get internships offer through college tie up with different organisations such as VECC, BHEL, BSNL, BARC, HP, AIR, Power Grid, POSCO. And many other students get internships from outside in different organisations such IITs, NITs, IBM, HP, DRDO. Around 100% eligible students get final job offers in a different organisation such as Power grid, Amazon, RetailOn, IBM, Polaris, Nucleus Soft., Wipro, Resonance, MECL, Tata consultancy, L&T, Indian Navy, Nokia Networks & Solutions R&D, Tech Mahindra. Average salary that a student gets is around 4 LPA. Around 70% of batch gets placed every year.   My college has alumni network with a different organisation such as IIT Guwahati, NIT Silchar, Tezpur university.

Academics & Faculty : National Institute of Technology is an engineering college and offers different degree's in B.Tech, M.tech, M.sc, PhD, etc, in different fields such as electrical, civil, computer. Its academic daily routine is very much comfortable. Normal classes timings are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Students from any year can approach teachers for taking projects and teachers are very helpful in guiding students in their projects. In my college, teachers take 2-3 small class tests and 2-3 assignments per semester for testing students knowledge about their course. And there is compulsory 1 midterm examination and 1 end term examination per semester. There are many courses available in my college for engineering students of the different branch. The quality and method of teaching are very good in their job of teaching. They are very knowledgeable and experts in their fields. They are always ready to help students with their studies, projects and other extracurricular activities in class and outside the class. I am proud to be in NITM.

Fees & Scholarships : National Institute of Technology is very helpful and supportive for students, both who are good at academics and who are from poor background. It has its own scholarship scheme for students. Firstly, the scheme is Merit free studentship scholarship, for academically good students, having CGPA more than 8.5/10. Second, the scheme is Merit Cum Means scholarship, for students having CGPA more than 7.0 and the Gross Annual Income of a student's Parents/ Guardian from all sources in the Financial Year of 2014-15 (From 1st April 2014 to 31st March 2015) must not exceed Rs.4.50,000/-. In both the schemes, top 5% of the B. Tech students of every batch as per the eligibility criteria mentioned in both the schemes, get this scholarship every semester. Around 44 students, every semester gets these scholarships. My college also helps students in getting educational loans from different banks such as SBI, UCO bank.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : National Institute of Technology is good in infrastructure. It has a good quality and a good number of classrooms, labs available for students. Libraries have a good number of books in the different field of education such as computer science, electrical, civil. It too has good quantity of novels and other general knowledge books. It too has a good number of hostels available for students. It has big dining halls in college and in each hostel. The college has Wi-Fi facilities on a college campus as well as in each hostel'. It has personal transport facilities from hostel to college and to the city market. College also provides doctor and other medical facilities with in the campus. Also, students get a refund for their medical expenditure outside the college. Students also get 50% concession in railway.

Clubs & Associations : There are many clubs such as Computer science club, music club, sports club, in National Institute of Technology for encouraging students to take part in the various competition in their course as well as in extracurricular activities. The college has student council in college as well as in each hostel to manage students problems. It also has students Training and Placement council to take care of students internships and jobs. There are many sports played on campus such as cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, badminton. The college has good sports infrastructure such various sports equipment like a bat, ball, basketball, football, badminton rackets, etc.
