Infrastructure Facilities at National Institute of Technology, [NITAP] Arunachal Pradesh:
The Solar Plant:
The institute has installed a solar plant of capacity 100 kW, from which the institute is getting an uninterrupted power supply and minimized practically its electricity bill to zero.

- Cost of the plant: Rs. 2.47 crores
- Date of installation: 28/10/2012
Hostels:
- NIT Arunachal Pradesh has a full residential facility for the students admitted.
- There are 7 halls of residence in total, five for boys and two for girls.
- Bus facility is provided to the students to reach the institute.
- Internet facility is also provided individually to all the students in hostels through wi-fi connectivity.
- The hostel is taken care of by the team of wardens, student's representative under the overall control of Hostel Provost and Dean, Student Affairs.
- A team of faculty members pay regular visits to the hostels for improvement and to observe anti-ragging measures leading the institute of zero ragging.
Class Room:
- To avoid the shortage of class rooms in the temporary campus at Yupia, the institute has constructed 12 new class rooms to meet out the requirements.
- The institute has also started shifting its academic programs to the permanent site at Jote and presently the Department of Mechanical Engineering has started functioning at Jote from January 2016.
- Few more departments are likely to be shifted by July, 2016.
Seminar Hall:
- The college is having a fully facilitated Seminar Hall.
- Workshops of all streams are being organized, providing the students with an interface for practical and expert knowledge.
- Apart from this, motivational and inspirational lectures from Director of NITAP are held to flourish every student’s innovative ideas by discussing them.
- Interactive lectures from the faculty members, explore the research, principles and classroom phases by such an effective presentation strategy, are also held in here.
Switch Room:
Switches connecting the local area networks are critical components of the network. The Switch Room of NITAP is facilitated with:
- Cyber Roam: CR 1000
- Cisco Router: 2900 series
- Layer 3 Switches: 3750 G series
- Layer 2 Switches: 2960 G series
Server:
- A well-organized server room having IBM Blade Server is installed. IBM Blade Server comprises Web Server, Mail Server, and Proxy Server.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel facility is available for male and female student. Quality of lab and classroom is average.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The student must pass the 12th grade with good percentage. JEE MAIN is the entrance exam to get the admission in this college. Cut off for 130 for JEE MAIN.
Placements & Internships : I have not done any internship. placement is there. Average package is INR 4.5 lakh per annum.
Fees & Scholarships : My course fee is INR 67,400 per annum. Scholarship and loan facility is available for the students.
Academics & Faculty : Class timing is 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Teaching quality and method is good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 10 hostels 2 for girls and 8 for boys. Fooding quality is not so good. The hostel is run by the hostel mess in charge who made a contract with the college and runs the mess. Hostel fee is free but mess fee is not. Mess fee is around RS 3500 per month. Classroom quality is also not up to the mark as compared to other NITs. There are no sperate buildings for each department. The college campus is not permanent. The permanent site is under construction which is situated in a remote village in Itanagar the capital city of the state Arunachal Pradesh. The permanent site is situated in a village called Jote. Wifi has been provided in every hostel. The library is alright required books are available here. Labs have all the required equipment.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admission in NIT AP was through an entrance examination i.e., JEE MAIN (Join entrance examination).
Placements & Internships : I have not completed any internships yet.
Fees & Scholarships : My admission fee was RS.36000 per semester (including all the fees). Scholarships were not available through the college. It was given by the state govt. Maximum all of the students got a scholarship through online scholarship portal. I don't know about the loans.
Academics & Faculty : Class starts at 9 am in the morning and end at 5 pm in evening. There is lunch break from 1pm to 2pm. In NIT AP guest lecturers teaches the first year students and HOD get involved in teaching the other year students.
Clubs & Associations : There is no any students' society but students gather if there is a mass need. Students organize annual festivals like Addovedi and Attulyam. Actually, Addovedi is annual tech festival. In this festival, there are events like robo-wars, science exhibition etc and Attulyam is the annual music festival. During this events, students perform their talents on the stage.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are three hostels, and the hostel well facilities and the hostel fee is 7500 per month at National Institute of Technology. PGs are more comfortable and it cost are 10000-15000 per month. The food is not good much, it cost is 200 per meal. The quality of Classroom, Labs, Libraries, Dining halls, Wi-Fi are good and available.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria is 12th pass in Science stream for getting into National Institute of Technology. The entrance exam is required. Cut-off is typically high.
Placements & Internships : Placement of National Institute of Technology is extremely good. Alumni network is fine at this college.
Fees & Scholarships : My course fee is 45 thousand per year at National Institute of Technology. Scholarship portal for class X and XII passed, scholarship for post-graduate etc are there at National Institute of Technology. Loans are easily available.
Academics & Faculty : The quality of teaching is good at National Institute of Technology. Overall experience is good at National Institute of Technology.
Clubs & Associations : There are different kinds of welfare society at National Institute of Technology. Wancho Oiah festival is there main on campus, sports is football and cultural is the traditional dress. There life in college, in general, is very good and enjoyable to have such activities.
