Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE), established in 1989, began as an engineering college with a vision to become a leading center of excellence in education, driven by discipline and ethics. It was ranked 19th among engineering colleges by Anna University in 2006. The university achieved Deemed-to-be-University status in 2008 and was awarded Grade 'A' by NAAC in 2015, with reaccreditation in 2022.
In the 2016 NIRF rankings, NICHE placed 66th in the Engineering category and 75th in the University category, cementing its status as a top educational institution. NICHE currently offers 28 undergraduate and 19 postgraduate programs across 11 faculties and 23 departments, including Engineering, Arts, Science, and Management.
