Placements & Internships : The department takes a special interest in helping students take part in there desired internships and training programs. Many software companies and manufacturers appreciate the potential of the students and have come regularly to recruit new students during placement. Figures vary with the quality and quantity of hired student. Some settle in a penny amount as few Lakhs and some manage to grab INR 7 to INR 8 lakhs of price for themselves.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Any 12th pass science student can take admission into the B.Tech Course after appearing for the JEE Mains exam. Admission will be based on the ranking and will be governed by JOSSA.

Fees & Scholarships : North Eastern Hill University is having a total course fee for B.Tech degree between INR 1,07,000 to INR 1,41,000 for 4 years which is an affordable amount when compared to other B.tech institutes. As specializations change fee also varies slightly. Furthermore, Scholarships are available to eligible students.

Academics & Faculty : Overall the timings are pretty hard as is in most engineering colleges. A day starts at 9 and ends around 5. But class hours are always interesting as the quality of teaching is very good. It is a knowledgeable and fruitful experience being a part of this family.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel facility is provided for those who need and is filled in the first come first served basis. Plenty of rooms are available inside the campus and also outdoors. Cost is cheap in these hills. The meal is hygienic and good. Cost varies from hostel to hostel. It's a full Wi-Fi campus and there is infrastructure for almost everything.

Clubs & Associations : To bridge the gap between different departments, plenty of clubs and groups are available and one can be a part of them and avail of the knowledge of different worlds. Different departments conduct their festivals but the main event is the tech fest conducted annually.
