Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB (Hons) at Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre:
- Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST) from any recognized Board/University.
- The candidate must not be above 20 years of age as on the last date fixed for submission of the application for Entrance Test of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 5 Years Integrated Course of the year in which admission is sought in the First Semester (22 years in case of SC/ST and other backward communities').
- The admission shall be on the basis of both the academic merit and entrance test.
Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Engineering at Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre:
- Candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination are eligible.
- Candidates must appear for JEE-Mains and must qualify the examination.
- Candidate must have taken at least 5 subjects in the class 12th examination.
- Candidate must have a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry combined.
Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Law at Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Center:
Candidates who have passed any one of the following are eligible for to join LLB course:
- Bachelor's Degree in any faculty of Panjab University with at least 45% marks in the aggregate;(40% for SC/ST candidates).
- Degree in any Faculty of another University recognized by the Panjab University and the Bar Council of India securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate.Provided that in case of a candidate having a Bachelor's degree.
- A Master's Degree from the Panjab University.
- A Master's Degree from any other University recognized by the Panjab University and theBar Council of India as equivalent to the corresponding Post-graduate degree of the Panjab University.
Admission to LL.B. Course shall be on the basis of an Entrance Test. Total marks for determining merit would be 200. (100 marks for the entrance test) & (100 marks for the qualifying exam)
Eligibility Criteria for Master of Computer Application at Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Centre:
Candidates must be qualified for any one of the following:
- A recognized bachelor's degree of minimum three year's duration in any discipline with at least 50% marks and with Mathematics at 10+2 at graduation level (all three years).
- B.C.A. from Panjab University with 50% marks.
- Any examination recognized by the Panjab University, Chandigarh as equivalent to any of the above examination.

Placements & Internships : Good college for average placement for cse and IT branch. Average salary package is 5 lpa for cse. 80-90 percent placement is done. Companies that come are Sonalika, l&t etc. The college has also great alumni network.
Fees & Scholarships : College tuition fee is Rs.10500 per year. 10 percent students get scholarship and fees wavier of tuition fees. You can pay your fees through loan from any bank.
Academics & Faculty : Classes are from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm as per routine. Quality of teaching is average. Overall experience is good.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : One hostel, one library, one gym is there. There are also some pgs available. Food in this college is good. This is an old college. Infrastructure is average. The college has lush green campus of 8.5 acres and peaceful environment.

Placements & Internships : PUSSGRC have a good record of placements. You get an opportunity to sit in around 40-50 companies in the college(some at Chandigarh). The key companies in IT are- Infosys, Gryvb, Sufi, Quark, HP, Clicklabs etc. The average salary figure is around Rs 3.4-3.7 lacs per annum and the highest salary figure offered is around Rs 5 lacs per annum. Usually, around 70-80 percent students got placed in the campus recruitment. The alumni have a good network in the IT sector. Other than IT companies, much more came for recruitment like SML ISUZU ,SWARAJ TRACTORS, SAPIENT etc.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are that you should not have any backlogs in 10+2 and should have appeared for the JEE MAIN entrance examination. The admission procedure starts after the declaration of the result of JEE MAIN exam. Firstly, you have to register yourself with the university registration process in order to take admission in any of the course. After the registration ends, the admission process starts with the online counselling process followed by the spot round which is held at Punjab university Chandigarh. During the first two online rounds, the typical cutoff is quite high but in spot round if you have a score around 80-100 you are most probably to get admission in SSGRC.
Fees & Scholarships : The course fee structure is quite moderate in PUSSGRC. You have a course fee of around Rs 75000/- per annum in Btech course. There are lots of scholarship options provided for the economic weaker sections which are very easy to avail by just providing the detail of the income. Scholarships are also provided for the SC/ST/OBC students by the various institutions. If you are not able to pay the fee, you can apply for the loan which is quite easy to avail.
