Entrance Exams & Admissions : I am a first-year student at Parala maharaja engineering college, Berhampur and currently enrolled in the Computer science engineering branch. I got myself into this college with my JEEMAIN AIR 1,21,200(general category) in the year 2021. The starting JEEMAIN AIR was around 90k for the general category, and the last AIR was around 2,40,000 for a general category with a female quota and around 4,00,000 for SC/ST category. The computer science engineering branch is the best branch in the college and has a higher cutoff than the other branches. Admission was done through Ojee counselling.

Placements & Internships : Some of our alumni are working in HR recruiting positions in companies like TCS. One kf our alumni is working in Amazon, Seattle. Companies like TCS, Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Board Infinity are some major IT recruiting companies hiring our college students. The average salary is around 4Lpa, and the highest package in 2021 was 9Lpa.

Fees & Scholarships : Course fees are around 33,000 per sem. Hostel charges are separate. Some students are eligible for a scholarship under state and central government schemes. No loans are needed as college fees are affordable, and the TFW option is also available.

Academics & Faculty : College teachers are very friendly and approachable. You can always come to them for doubts. Class timing is from 9-5, usually with 1 hr lunch break(u may have gaps too). The quality of teaching is very good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Two girls hostel and 3 boys hostel + 1 out of campus boys hostel are there. Hostel mess food is average. Wifi facilities are there in the boys' hostel only, not for girls. Hostel fees are also affordable. Hostel condition is good,4 big washrooms on 1 floor. The library is also quite nice.

Clubs & Associations : Many clubs like robostreaks, music and dance club, drama club, heritage club etc. are running.
