Pondicherry Engineering College, [PEC] Puducherry is an autonomous Institute, established in the year 1984. It is affiliated to Pondicherry University. The College campus is spread over an area of 210 acres with an eco-friendly learning environment. The College is affiliated under Pondicherry university[PU], University Grants Commission[UGC], and approved under All India Council for Technical Education[AICTE]. Pondicherry Engineering college offers courses in Engineering and Science and Humanities. The college facilitates both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The college focuses on the overall development of the students. Pondicherry Engineering College was ranked 53 under the engineering category by National Institute Ranking Framework[NIRF] in the year 2018.

PEC admissions for B.Tech  courses is made through CENTAC, Government of Puducherry.15% of students are coming from other states of India. In addition to the routine activities, students need to take Active part in extra co-curricular activities also.
