Rajendra Agricultural University was initially established as India's first Imperial Agriculture Research Institute.The University offers courses in Agronomy, Entomology,Agricultural Economics, Nematology, Soil Science, Extension Education, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Forestry, Plant Pathology, Agril Biotechnology and Molecular Biology and Microbiology. The University has an excellent infrastructure and provides its students with all the modern amenities.

Eligibility Criteria at Rajendra Agricultural University, Samastipur

• Candidates must secure 60% in their Higher Secondary Examination in order to apply at the University
• For postgraduate courses, the candidate must secure a minimum of 50% in their Higher Secondary Examination as well as the undergraduate course they have pursued prior to the course they wish to pursue presently
• SC/ST students must secure 55% in their Higher Secondary Examination in order to apply at the University
• The students must successfully pass his/her higher secondary examination
• The candidate must have completed a minimum of 17 years of age.
