The Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT), Gwalior has been set up with the aim of giving a chance to the children of BSF staff for procuring quality based higher technical qualification. The Border Security Force education fund sponsored the growth of the Institute. The institute is named after the authorising father of Border Security Force Padma Vibhushan Late K.F. Rustamji.

RJIT is situated in the campus of BSF Academy in Tekanpur, on the Gwalior-Jhansi National Highway No. 75, at a distance of 30 KM from Gwalior. The Institute campus is self-sufficient with all the fundamental amenities for all-round improvement of students’ personality. 

RJIT Admissions are offered in graduation and postgraduation courses. RJIT is offering courses in Engineering and Computer Applications. So, people who are interested in joining these courses can apply through state entrance exams or centrally based exams. 

Rustamji institute of technology has a separate placement cell to train the students and get placed in national and multi-national companies. The College has several tie-ups with many companies all over India and outside India.

The Training & Placement Cell is the key point of contact for companies to communicate with the college. The Placement Office is well furnished and is composed to placidly handle and support the RJIT placement process at all stages. Infrastructure for pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions and personal interviews is available. To make the student industry-friendly, a specialized firm operates a two-week personality development program every year. The objective of this program is to get the student an internship and a job.
