Infrastructure

  • It is part of the basic policy of the promoters that infrastructural self-sufficiency is a pre-requisite for better productivity and performance in all the activities, more so for academic activities. The Management has always been creating and updating academic and building infrastructure to meet the AICTE norms and standards from time to time and to make life easy and stress-free in the campus.
  • Today the campus resembles a park with well laid out black-topped internal roads with avenue trees on either side. The one k.m. approach road too is a beauty to watch. Every bit of the vacant space is covered with lawns, flower plants and gardens. It is a most environment-friendly campus, full of greenery, the hills on the western side adding to the contrast of the panorama.

Library

  • The Central Library plays an Important role in the college, it is situated to the north side of the main building. It is a separate building consisting of 4 floors.
  • It caters to the needs of the staff and students of the college.
  • The ground floor consists of OPAC Services (Online Public Access Catalogue) in addition to the card catalog, circulation, Back Volumes and Digital Library. The mezzanine floor consists of lending books and Xerox Section. I Floor consists of Reference Section, Technical, periodical section and Acquisition Section.
  • II floor consists of Book Bank Section.

Computer Centre

  • The college has  18 computer labs with an aggregate total of 2000 computers in them.
  • The computers in these 18 labs are periodically updated or replaced with the latest computers. With an annual computer hardware budget of more than Rs. 60 lakh, providing the latest computing resources to the faculty and students is a top most priority for the college management.

Hostel

  • The College provides separate hostel facility for boys and girls.
  • The girls hostel accommodates nearly 400 students and the boy's hostel accommodates nearly 450 students. Preference is given for I B.Tech students in the hostel admissions.
  • Strict discipline is followed in the hostels.
  • The students are not allowed to use any electronic gadgets (i.e. cell phone, laptops, walkman etc.).
  • The Hostels daily provides breakfast (with milk/coffee), lunch, Snacks (with milk/tea) and dinner.
  • There are separate Hostel committees for boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel headed by conveners, which monitors the running of the hostels.

E-Classrooms

  • The RVR & JC College of Engineering has commissioned the E-Learning Centre in the Cyber Block at estimated cost of Rs. 80 lakh. The centre has a seating capacity of 76 participants. Some of the salient features of the E-learning center are:
  • Multi-point presentation capability
  • Integrated multimedia systems for audio and video presentations
  • Computers for all the participants/students
  • Internet facility to all the participants/students
  • Video conferencing facility
  • Availability UGC Learning Television Channels like Gyan Darshan
  • The E-learning centre has equipment from major blue chip companies such as HP Compaq Computers, Cisco, Sennheiser and Creston Controls. However, it is not only the individual components that are impressive but also the collective capability of this equipment to provide a truly next generation classroom for the teachers and the students.

Seminar Halls

  • The college has four well-furnished seminar halls and two auditoriums. The detailed list of seminar halls and the auditoriums is as follows.
  • All the seminar halls are air conditioned and are equipped with Audio Video systems. The seminar halls are regularly used for class interaction meetings, national and international conferences, teacher and student training programs.

College Canteen

  • The college has spacious canteen facility in the college premises and is run by the college management. A variety of south Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college at highly subsidized rates with the highest quality.
  • Canteen has a big kitchen with steam cooking facility and kitchen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen. Food items are prepared with RO treated water.
  • Canteen is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on all working days.

Stationery Stores

  • All stationery items are made available in the stores at reasonable rates, fixed by the college management. It also provides light refreshment like packed snack items, cakes, veg. puff, beverages etc to the students and staff of the college.

Mineral Water (RO) Plant

  • The college has its own mineral water (RO) plant in the college campus. Entire college is supplied with the mineral water from the plant.

Transport

  • The 25-bus exclusive transport saves the students and staff from the vagaries of public transport.
