RVS Agriculture College, Thanjavur, was founded in 2013-14 and offered a four-year B.Sc. agriculture professional degree. It is situated 4 km from the Trichy-Tanjavur National Highway and provides a specialized 4-year B.Sc (Agriculture) degree. The college has an area of 400 acres and a crop cafeteria for the practical training of degree students to see and appreciate the different crop varieties for the students' benefit.
The RVS educational trust was founded in 1983 as a public charitable trust. Currently, it runs RVS Engineering College, Polytechnic, management institute, Industrial Training Institute, and College of Education at Dindugal and Bhakthavatsalam Vidyastram central board school and a Women's College at Korattur, Chennai. The Trust has also founded an Art and Science College and a Teacher Training Institute at Karaikal. RVSAC Admission is merit-based.
