• UP NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round 2 registration has begun. Those who are eligible can fill up, pay fees and enter choices on upneet.gov.in. Make sure that preferences are locked well before the deadline to avoid them getting submitted automatically. The seat allotment depends on rank, preference and availability. Complete all these in time to get the seat in the college of their choice and course.

• NEET PG 2024 Counselling Round-2 Choice Filling for NEET PG 2024 round 2 counselling will be opened from December 5, 2024. The choice submission is to be done on or before December 9, 2024, at 11:55 PM. The choice locking will take place between 4:00 PM and 11:55 PM of the same day. Multiple choices are allowed. The seat matrix of round 2 will be announced soon.

• PGI Lucknow has a well-equipped library with more than 16000 books in it.
• The library has subscriptions to 450 scientific journals.

SGPGI has more than 100 faculty members in the academic departments and all the departments are occupied with activities like teaching, training, patient care, and research. The departments and hospitals involved in the activities are given below:

• Activities of the Anesthesiology Department include clinical delivery of quality anesthesia care, management of surgical intensive care unit, postoperative pain relief, pulmonary function testing, pain clinic, Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and critical care medicine.
• Activities included in the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics are Statistical Education, Research Consultancy, Computer Education, Data Analysis Support, and Management of Patient Care Data.
• Activities of the Department of Cardiology are Treadmill Stress Testing and Colour Doppler Echocardiography, ICU monitoring, mitral valve balloon dilatations, pediatric therapeutic interventions, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases, etc.
• Activities included in the Critical Care Medicine are assessment, advice, transfer of the patients to the ICU, assessment and management of airway, placement of central venous lines, and advice regarding parenteral nutrition of patients.
• The Department of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery activities is mitral valve replacement, valve reconstruction program, warm heart surgery, neonatal and pediatric cardiac surgery, etc.
• The Department of Medicine Emergency are involved in activities like diagnosis and treatment of unforeseen illness or injury, initial treatment, evaluation, and diagnosis of patients requiring emergency medical, and surgical care.

The Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow Uttar Pradesh hostel facilities provided to the students are:

• SGPGI has two types of accommodation one for married residents and another for unmarried residents.
• For unmarried students, two hostels are available with single-bedded rooms and attached bathrooms.
