Sankardev College Admission 2024: Check Admission Details

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admission eligibility : Class 12 Science with minimum 50%. I didn't appear for any entrance Examinations. The Cutoff is at 85%.

Placements & Internships : Alumni network is Good. All former pupils or students are invited to attend an alumni for many mentoring programmes, and to get connected with the college/institution.

Fees & Scholarships : Sankardev College, Shillong Management Fee Structure. The course fee for B.Sc Zoology is around 14000 rupees per year it include tution,computer, and library. All State/National Scholarship are available. Around 200 students get scholarship. No loans are needed since the course is not too expensive.

Academics & Faculty : The class starts at 8:45 everyday, and there are upto 6-7 periods per day. Projects/Assignment are given to all the classes in different course to help us understands the structure of different topics. Teachers are very friendly, and the methods they use are very interesting and make us listen/curious more about any section/part they teach us. My days in Sankardev College are very memorable, I got to do things that i havn't did before (singing and dancing). All the students are very kind and friendly and we got to discuss or talk about anything. My overall experience in this college is excellence.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is only one Girls Hostel. The facility is very good. The fee is around Rs 4000-5000 per month. No PGs available nearby. The food is very good, all foods are local made and minimum it cost around Rs 10-15 for snacks and tea, Rs 30-40 per full meal. Classrooms are very neat, big and can fit like 200 students per room. They include projectors and all the bench and table are good furniture. Labs are big, and they have everything we need to work on. Libraries have all the books, newspaper, magazine and free wifi is provided.

Clubs & Associations : No students are formed as a group to do anything for the societies, except only when we get an order from the government/institution to represent the college in any programmes, or in a society. All festivals like sports, college weeks, teachers day, children days are conducted to entertain the teachers or students. Life is great, i feel like a different person when i am in that college, even though i'm not that kind of person who interact or be friendly with the teachers like other students. I learned a lot.
