Library
The Central Library plays a vital role in providing opportunities to the students and staff members to enrich their knowledge. The college library is well maintained with 16,919 books, 65 National Journals, 35 International Journals and more than 1000 CDs, which is well above the norms. All operations in the library are fully computerized. We make all efforts to inculcate reading habits in the students and also to provide them with all necessary assistance. At a time, one student is entitled to issue 3 books in his/her name for a period of 14 days. As an adventage to the class toppers, some provisions has been made:
- Issuance of 3 aditional books for first ranker.
- Issuance of 2 aditional books for second ranker
- Issuance of 1 aditional books for third ranker
Transportation:
SSIPMT takes a very good care of all the needs of its students. Excellent transportation facilities are rendered to them. SSIPMT possesses a fleet of 18 buses for students and staff members to provide pick-n-drop facility from all corners of the city. We also provide bus facility to students from Bhilai.
Hostel:
What could be more important than finding a place to think, to eat, to relax , to sleep & to study? At SSIPMT, we make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible so that you can concentrate entirely on studies. SSIPMT provides quality accommodation to the students heading from distant places. Presently, we have facilities for accommodating 200 boys and 80 girls. The hostels for boys and girls are situated within the college campus and are very well secured (24X7). The environs of the campus is free from the hustle bustle of the city and is therefore highly appropriate for studying. Each room is furnished with cots, study tables, chairs and storage racks. Every effort is made to provide homely atmosphere for the hostellers. At the same time, they are also required to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations laid by the institution.

College Mess, good food, good health and good life are inter-related. With this perception in mind, the Management of SSIPMT provides excellent Mess facilities to the students. Our College Mess, which can accommodate around 150 students at a time, is built up in the campus premises. Pure vegetarian, nutritious, hygienic and homely food is served. The Mess caters to the need of all streams of academy and hostellers with breakfast, lunch and dinner. The institute provides conducive and healthy atmosphere in the Mess and makes sure that quality food is served at reasonable price. Canteens are more than simple hangouts which add different flavors to our life. The Canteen at SSIPMT is an open arena for debate, a little gossip and some hilarious moments and memories accompanied with cutlets, samosas, potato chips, tea, coffee and coke in between as gap fillers. It builds up an ambience of rendezvous where our students love to spend their leisure hours with their friends keeping away all the hassles of life.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Infrastructure is good, not too flashy neither too low. Acceptable you can say. There is no central Auditorium, libraries have books only from CSVTU recommended books list. About Classrooms, almost 90 students sit in the same classroom, you can imagine how would be the learning conditions even if a lecturer puts all his efforts. It is like a fish market when the teacher is busy sketching on the blackboard or checking the copies. Students complained frequently about this issue, but management ignored it every time for their own convenience.
Fees & Scholarships : College fee is too high compared to the facilities and campus placement they are providing. It should be lowered to half the present amount. Also, hostel fee is too much as compared to living standard there. There is constant pressure from college management to pay the fee on time, else they threatened to not let us appear in the exams. Hostel fee is too much as compared to living standard there. Mess food is not good and there is no variety at all. You can find the potato in every dish they prepare each day. On Sunday they have special food with a sweet dish. Overall you will not be happy with the food and will crave for outside food every other day. College circulates notifications regarding loan schemes provided by the government to reserved castes. There is no special concession or scholarship provided to general category and they are always expected to pay the fee on time.
Clubs & Associations : There is some certain number of events like Technostav, Teachers days and others. College management is so much fond of bringing celebrities to their campus. To be noted, whenever any celebrity arrives on our campus. For example, Ranbeer Kapoor, Bipasha Basu etc.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Boys & girls hostel is available separately on the college campus. The hostel fee is about INR 50000 to 60000/- per year. PGs/Rent is also available outside the college campus and fee is about INR 2000 to 3000 per month. The classrooms & labs are good, most of the Experimental equipment are available for practicals. College library is also good, mostly all types of books are available there. The whole college is fully WI-FI zone.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admission is done on the basis of CG PET/JEE MAIN rank. A minimum of 45% marks is required in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in 12th standard. My admission was done through CG PET. The cutoff for Civil Engineering in my college was a rank under 3000 in CG PET.
Placements & Internships : Mostly IT, Finance, Marketing, and Sales companies hire from college campus drive.The average package is about 3.5 lakhs and the highest package was about 6.8 lakhs per annum.
Fees & Scholarships : The courses fee in my college is INR 31000 to 32000/- per year. Scholarships are also available for minorities and ST/SC/OBC category students. Education loan facility is also provided at the time of admission by State bank Of India bank.
Academics & Faculty : College timing is from 9:00 am to 3.20 pm but it will be extended to 5:20 pm when exams are near. The Faculties are good and provide most quality education.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : 2 hostels are there one for boys and one for girls at SSIPMT. Hostels are very good for students because there are so many activities are conducting. The cost of per month is around Rs. 4000. Yes, PGs are available on there with overall cost is Rs 3000/- per month per student. All foods are so good. In our college, hostel food is good than others college hostels. The cost of food is included in hostel fee. Canteen's food is available at a low cost. Everything is good and satisfiable.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : SSIPMT Raipur is an Engineering college of Chhattisgarh. The eligibility criteria are 10+2 with mathematics, physics and chemistry. If we talk about the admission procedure, pre-engineering test exam should be cleared with a good rank. For joining the engineering course RPET entrance examination is compulsory for all students. 45℅ marks are the typical cutoff of our course.
Placements & Internships : No internship programme is there at SSIPMT. Yes, mostly IT companies have come for campus drive in our college and also core companies have come for hiring eligible students. Average salary figure is rs 2.50 lakhs per annum for fresher and highest salary figure is Rs 3.8 lakhs per annum for fresher, and every year almost 50℅ students get placed. Yes, we are also connected with our seniors for some information about the study, how to face campus drive.
Fees & Scholarships : Per year course fee is Rs 62550 at SSIPMT. Yes, CG govt. scholarship option is available for us. Approx 85℅ students get a scholarship. Some students are not able to pay all the fee. So they get help from the bank for an educational loan. And college accepted that.
Academics & Faculty : Classes timings are from 9a.m. to 3:20 pm at SSIPMT. In between that time lunch break is included. 4 period in a week for projects. 2 class test in a semstere is compulsory. The assignment is less because many chapters are covered in the college time. The quality and method of teaching are awesome of all faculties. They are more knowledgeable teachers and they have more teaching experience. SSIPMT Raipur college is very good for engineering students whose decide to get more knowledge, manner, personality etc.
Clubs & Associations : Student societies are the most wonderful things of SSIPMT Raipur. Every branch has their separate groups. And every branch get-together conducts many types of function like in engineering day, MEA function etc is conducted. And each student participates ion these functions with different activities. Engineering day is the main festival on the campus of SSIPMT Raipur. The function is conducted for 3 days. The life in college is so cool. Because everything is good and comfortable.
