• Candidates applying for this course must have passed 10+2 with any recognised board are eligible for SR Govt College for Women, Amritsar admissions 2024.

• The student should have 10+2 with 50% marks in General English subject.

• There will be a proficiency test of communication skills.

• Candidates must have passed 10th with 60% marks in Hindi & in 12th with 60% marks in Elective Hindi.

• Candidate has to visit the college for the offline application process.

• Every student planning for an admission should visit the campus to obtain the application form.

• The candidate should pay the one-time registration fees for the course they desire.

• Once the offline payment is made, Candidate can obtain the application form for the particular course.

• An admission form will be provided where all the details must be legibly filled by the candidate.

• Attach all the pre-requisite documents necessary for the admission.

• This admission form should be then submitted to the college office.

General Requirements For Undergraduate And Postgraduate Admissions 2024

• Admission to all the courses will be made on merit and according to the norms laid down by Punjab Govt. / PSEB and GNDU Amritsar.

• After the document verification rounds end, candidates have to pay fees.

• The following documents should be attached with the admission form:

  • Two passports size photographs.

  • Photocopy of Matric or 10+2 showing date of birth.

  • Photocopy of detailed marks of the lower classes passed or attested photocopy of the relevant page of the gazette.

  • Character certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.

  • Blood group and Medical fitness.

  • Migration and eligibility certificate ( if from another Board/University ) and prescribed student visa from Indian govt. (if from Foreign University).

  • Copy of the certificate of SC / BC / ST / Physically Handicapped issued by a competent authority should be attached with the admission form without which no such claim will be entertained. Such categories should be mentioned in the admission form itself.

  • An admission form without any of the above documents will be treated as incomplete and hence rejected.

MA (Music) / MA (Dance)

Candidate must have Bachelor's degree with Music / Dance as an elective subject with 45% marks or 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination from any recognized university.

MA Geography

• A candidate who have BA / B.Sc / BA Hons degree with Geography as a subject securing minimum 45% marks.

• PG Diploma in Artography securing at least second division is also eligible for this course.

MA English

• Candidate must have Bachelor's degree in any faculty with 50% marks in aggregate or 45% marks in the English Elective subject or Master's degree from recognised university in any faculty.

• A candidate who has passed BA Hons in English is also eligible for SR Govt College for Women, Amritsar.

B.Com / BBA / BCA:

Candidate applying for undergraduate courses must have 40% marks in 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Board.

Journalism in Hindi

• Candidate must have 10+2 in any stream with 50% marks.

• There will be a Proficiency test in Basic Hindi.

B.Sc

Candidate must have passed 10+2 with 40% marks in aggregate with the concerned Science group or equivalent examination.

B.Sc (Home Science)

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with any recognised board with English as compulsory subject.
