Overview

Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS), established in 1994, is located in Kalady, Kerala. It is one of the first Sanskrit universities in India, with contributions to teaching, research, and innovation. The university has eight regional campuses across Kerala and aims to impart knowledge in Sanskrit, other Indian and foreign languages, social sciences, and fine arts. SSUS was the first university in Kerala to be accredited 'A' grade in the first cycle of NAAC accreditation in 2014. UGC has recognized it. In 2005, it had introduced the CBCSS, and in 2018, it became the first university in Kerala to implement the OBTLE at the postgraduate level.

The fee structure varies from one program to another offered at SSUS, with a range of INR 5,000 to INR 80,000. The candidate can pay the fee either annually or semester-wise, depending upon the requirements of admission. Some components of the fee are paid once, as a one-time payment. Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Admission Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admission will start very soon for UG, PG, and Diploma in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit with a merit selection procedure. Application forms will be submitted online on the university's official website. Admission consists of three steps: first, an online application through filling up the application form after an eligibility check; second, selection based on entrance exam scores for some UG and diploma courses; and third, confirmation of admission by submitting the required fee within the stipulated deadline. The Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit placements 2024 have seen an improvement in packages. According to the NIRF 2024 report, the median package for UG 3-year and UG 4-year placements in 2023 stood at INR 1.8 LPA and INR 2 LPA, respectively. For PG courses, the 1-year and 2-year courses recorded median packages of INR 3.6 LPA and INR 2.4 LPA. The 2023 report showed a comparative increase from 2022, with the median package for UG 3 years at INR 1.8 LPA and PG 2 years at INR 2.5 LPA.

Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Scholarship

The Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit awards merit scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as per revised guidelines. These scholarships are provided at each university center, with eligibility limited to 25% of admitted strength for non-Sanskrit postgraduate and all undergraduate courses and 50% for postgraduate Sanskrit courses. The scholarship amount is INR 300 for B.A. and B.F.A. courses and INR 500 for M.A., M.S.W., and M.Phil. programs.
