• Candidates interested to take this course need to pass in Class X with overall grade 5.0 (excluding Hindi) for General and overall grade 4.0 (excluding Hindi) for SC / ST.

• They must have studied in rural areas at least for a period of Four years.

• Students interested to make a career in this course at Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University, Hyderabad need to have passed Class XII from any recognized Institutes.

• Candidates need to apply through the EAMCET (Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) entrance examination.

• This program is only available for Horticulture Honors.

• The seats under ICAR quota are filled by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, based on the performance in the written examination and choice of the students.

• Rest of the seats will be based on the ranks obtained by the candidates in the EAMCET.

• The candidates will be selected based on merit, Presidential order, region and social status.

• In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the EAMCET, the age shall be taken into consideration and the older candidate shall be given the seat.

• In case of a tie both in the ranks and age, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the Qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration.

• The selected candidates need to pay the admission fee on the day of admission.

Students need to have a B.Sc Honors in the Horticulture department from any recognized Universities to apply for this course.

Ph.D (Horticulture)

A pass in M.Sc (Horticulture) from any recognized Universities with specialization in fruit science, vegetable science, floriculture and landscape architecture and spices, plantation, medicinal and aromatic plants is required to apply for this course.
