SSM college is a privately owned college in Jammu & Kashmir and the institute is located 20kms away from Srinagar the place is known as parihaspora. SSM college is the only college in Jammu & Kashmir which provides Technical Education to the students at degree level. The major courses that they are offering to their students are in the respective branches of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and many more. SSM College was established in the year 1998. The major Vision of the college is to pursue world-class excellence in professional Engineering & Management Education. The major mission of SSM is to train highly motivated people giving them knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values so that engineers/ managers/ executives coming out from this institute can provide excellent services to the people for wholesome technological development for their all-round welfare. SSM college is having the approval of AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated to the University of Kashmir. SSM college is mainly focused on maintaining higher standards to come up with its motto "Education Par excellence". SSM College of Engineering and Technology Admission 2024

The Institute is presently imparting Technical education at Degree level in the branches of Civil, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, and Electronics & Communication Engineering and post-graduate courses M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech E&C, MCA and MBA besides UG course of BBA. Further Six Diploma Courses of Engineering are being imparted in the Polytechnic wing of the Campus. SSM College of Engineering & Technology is the only private engineering institute in the Kashmir valley imparting technical education at Degree level. It possesses the advantage of being in a rural area situated in the vicinity of cities & towns like Srinagar, Baramulla, Budgam assuming a centrally located place. The institute possesses an ideal infrastructure with all facilities of teaching/ learning etc. The Management, being proactive, all the academic functionaries feel highly responsive and dedicated. The academic results of the students have all along been excellently reflecting a good image of the Institute.

The college presently offers Undergraduate courses in engineering. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the intermediate (10+2) class. The minimum marks required in the intermediate examination for OC category is 50% marks. The candidates from the Vocational center and Diploma holders are also eligible to apply.

The intake for Civil Engineering enhanced from 120 to 180 seats by the AICTE and authorized by the J&K Government which will also be based on the University of Kashmir norms.

The college presently offers 3 Post Graduate courses such as MBA, M.Tech, and MCA. For admission to Masters in Technology (M.Tech) candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirements as prescribed by the college. All admissions are made strictly in accordance with the college rules in force at the time of admission.

SSM College of Engineering and Technology PG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, and Admission Criteria

All candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from the All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required for M.Tech courses.

Candidates can apply for SSM College of Engineering and Technology through the official website after appearing and obtaining good marks in CET. The process of application for all the courses in offline mode is as follows.

• The candidates interested to take admission to SSM College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvallur has to visit the official website of the university.
• Then download the application form in the PDF format.
• Fill the application form with the appropriate information as per asked in the application form.
• Then prepare a photocopy of the document asked by the college for verification purposes.
• Those candidates applying for the Undergraduate Degree have to go through CET which is conducted by Kashmir University.
• And those students applying for the Post Graduate courses must apply for the GATE examination.
• So the selection of the candidates is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination followed by the counseling of CET  for admission 2020.
