Eligibility criteria at St Philomena College, Puttur

Eligibility criteria for BA:

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent.

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc:

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent.
• The candidate must have studied Physics and Chemistry with Biology or Mathematics.

Eligibility criteria for B.Com:

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent.
• The candidates must have studied commerce/business studies with accountancy.

Eligibility criteria for BCA:

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent.
• The candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks(40% for SC/ST candidates).
• The candidates must possess a Diploma in electronics/computer science.

Eligibility criteria for BSW:

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent.

Eligibility criteria for MSW:

• Any Degree with minimum marks 45%(SC&ST 40%).
• Selection of candidates shall be on merit-cum-reservation on the basis of 50:50
  weight age of marks in the entrance and qualifying examinations.

Eligibility criteria for M.Com:

• The candidates must hold B.com Or BBM degree with minimum marks 45%(SC&ST 40%)

Eligibility criteria for M.Sc:

Physics :

• Candidates who have passed the three years B.Sc degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University with Physics as major/optional /special subject are eligible. They should have also studied Mathematics as major/optional/special / minor/subsidiary subject for at least two years at the undergraduate level and secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates)marks in Mathematics.
• Candidates who have passed the BSc Ed Degree examination (Regional College Scheme) of any university are eligible for admission
  to the programs.

Mathematics:

• Candidates who have passed the three-year B.Sc. degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as
  equivalent thereto with Mathematics as major/optional/special subject are eligible for the program provided they have secured a minimum of 45% (40%for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) marks in Mathematics.
• Candidates who have passed B.Sc.Ed. degree examination (Regional College Scheme) of any University are eligible for admission to
  the program, provided they satisfy all other requirements said above.

Application Process at St Philomena College, Puttur

Application Process for BA, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc, BSW, M.Com, M.Sc, MSW:

• Application for admission must be made in the prescribed form available with the College Prospectus/can be downloaded from the
  website when it's made available.
• The duly filled-in application form has to be returned to the College Office for registration by paying the registration fees of Rs. 10/-.
• It is sufficient if the provisional marks of the qualifying examinations are entered in the application form.
• Students belonging to SC/ST/BT groups should attach the appropriate certificates issued by the competent authority.
• Applicants will be intimated by post about their provisional selection and schedule for an interview within 15 days from the last date
  for registration.
• During the interview, the applicant should produce the following certificates/documents:

Transfer Certificate (TC) from the institution last attended.

PUC cumulative record or equivalent marks card.

Conduct Certificate.

Three Passport Size Photographs

Document in proof of reservation/concession, if applied for.
