St. Thomas' College of Engineering & Technology was established on the 29th of August 2000. St.Thomas' College of Engineering & Technology was established with the intention to impart quality technical education to the students and imbibe confidence in the young talents graduating from the institution to stand up to the challenges of life with confidence. STCET Admission 2020

Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech will be allotted seats on the basis of rank obtained in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and JEE Mains. The college has developed a transparent and efficient admission process for aspiring candidates in 2020. Candidates provisionally selected for admission in any program should appear before the Admission Committee with parents/guardians. Students are selected for counseling on the basis of merit at the qualifying examinations. Guardians other than a natural parent should have notarized authority from a parent. Students secured less than 60% marks in earlier examinations and are aged more than 21 years at the time of admission are warned that there may be less opportunity in getting campus placement. STCET admission, application forms, and information brochures are to be obtained from the college office and can also be downloaded from the college official website. The performance of past batches in campus recruitment does not confer any right or can be taken as a promise of employment for students seeking admission.  All other details regarding admission to be had from the college office.

Courses Offered by STCET

St. Thomas' College of Engineering & Technology offers various B.Tech programs. Seat intake for B.Tech programs ranges from 30-120 seats per course. The college offers four Programmes approved by AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT, WB formerly known as WBUT. Seat intake is 60 students in each stream. The admission is through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE 2020) and JEE Mains- 2020 examination and subject to rules and norms as framed by the West Bengal Government and all India Council for Technical Education. These courses are offered each year to a large number of aspiring students.

STCET Application Form 2020

The application form is available at the college official website. Students need to fill the documents properly. Students are requested to provide valid details in the section provided. Students are requested to bring along with the following documents in original for verification and a set of xerox copies. Students need to log in from their verified account by google and then fill the necessary documents.

Documents Required for Application Form

• Original Mark-sheet for qualifying examination & three attested photocopies (Original Mark-sheet of the qualifying examination will be retained by the college).
• Three Attested copies of age proof (Admit card or Certificate as applicable) with original for verification. 
• Two attested photocopies of Class X Mark-sheet with original for verification. 
• Two attested photocopies of Class XII Mark-sheet with original for verification (If applicable).
• Two copies of the WBJELET – 2019 Admit card. 
• Proof for WBJELET rank and eligibility for admission. 
• Original Allotment Letter issued by WBJEEB and one photocopy. 
• One attested copy of permanent address proof as provided by any Government Department.
• Eight color photographs (four passport size & four stamp size). 
• College leaving certificate/ character certificate from the last attended institute. 
• Medical certificates on the general fitness of the candidate issued by a general medical practitioner to undertake B. Tech. Course. A proper report from an eye specialist about vision & color blindness, if any, of the candidate.

STCET Admission Fees 

Admission Fee for different B. Tech courses is INR 5,000.00 which is one time non-refundable. STCET fees will be collected at the designated bank counter after the college office endorses the filled-in fee book. Fees are decided by the "Fee Structure Committee" - West Bengal. Semester fees are payable in June and December except for the fees for the First Semester.

STCET B.Tech Admission 2020

The institute presently runs four-year full-time Regular Bachelor of Technology courses in various courses such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication. Online mode of application is allowed. Candidates can register and apply through WBJEE and JEE Mains website. 10+2 in Science stream with minimum 45% marks is required for B. Tech program admission. Only qualified candidates are eligible for B. Tech counseling and admission. The selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks/ rank secured by the applicant, which is followed by a counseling session conducted on a state level. A final merit list of the candidates is declared after the counseling process. The first preference is given to candidates qualifying 10+2 from West Bengal Secondary Education Board. Candidates applying under reserved categories must produce caste / any other relevant certificate.

• What UG programs are offered at STCET?
  - College offers a wide range of UG programs such as Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication. Interested students can apply for various programs. Admission to the various courses is through the college admission office.
• What are the modes of payment for STCET Admission?
  - Payment at the time of admission should preferably be made by online transfer or by cash. Payment through cheque/ DD will also be accepted but it would require time for collection and thereby the admission process may be delayed till such time bank clearance is available. For those who prefer to pay by online transfer must report first at college accounts office for details.
• What are the documents required at the time of admission for B.Tech programs?
  - Original Mark-sheet for qualifying examination & three attested photocopies (Original Mark-sheet of the qualifying examination will be retained by the college).
