Nestled in a beautiful landscape with lush greenery all-around, SBIT campus is enchantingly pleasing. Sprawling over a vast expanse of 14 acres of prime land, SBIT is the only Engineering College in Khammam town in a close vicinity of 4 km from bus and railway stations of Khammam town.

It’s a proven fact that the surroundings play a key role in augmenting the learning process and hence, in tune with its philosophy. SBIT has taken great care in selecting the location & in designing this “MODERN GURUKULA”, which for sure, has something unique to offer.

• Located in two buildings the Main Block and the Aryabhatta Block- with a total area of 4000 sqft. Spread over two floors.
• Both the libraries accommodate Circulation Books, Book Bank Books, Newspapers and previous Volumes of the Periodicals.
• Possesses Modern infrastructure with a reading capacity for 150 Users in both the Libraries.
• More than 3000 Online e-Journals through DELNET Consortia & 110 + Indian Journals & Magazines.
• Partially automated Library House Keeping operations by using Volksoft (Ez Library) Library Software.

Central Library

The College Library has 38405 volumes & 4467 titles in various disciplines of Engineering & Technology, Management. Various National and International journals are being subscribed for promoting self-study.
Several technical journals and latest research work can be accessed over the INTERNET, which is an added facility.
A spacious reading room and a reference section with extensive Reading Material, Newspapers, Magazines, General English, GRE, TOEFL, GMAT based texts are also provided.
SBIT is a member of DELNET.

Digital Library 

The Digital Library was started in the year 2010 in SBIT. Digital Library has more than 30 systems connected with internet. The main objective of Digital Library is to assist users by satisfying their needs and requirements for accessing, storing and manipulating of the variety of information stored in the collection of material that represents the “holdings” of the library. The content is from IIT’s and IIS as Subject Matter Experts (SME).

Sports and Games

In addition to the academic performance, sports and games are also given vital importance. A sports complex with contemporary facilities for sports men and women has been established in SBIT.  Department of Physical Education is equipped with all indoor and outdoor facilities for the staff and students. Both men and women take part in individual and group activities of different nature.

SBIT maintains a full-fledged sports activity centre which provides the necessary facilities for conducting Sports and Games. The physical directors have been putting in their best efforts in imbibing knowledge and imparting skills to students and faculty in various sports and games, developing them to higher levels of expertise. Today sports and games have become a part of student development at SBIT.

Students are also encouraged to participate in inter-colleges, open, invitation and other external tournaments, sports meet cultural and other competitions.

In general, we are very happy that SBIT students have placed very high in the field of sports activities in the university and State level. With this we are proud to say that SBIT stands One in Ten in sports activities under the University for this Year ranking. With the co-operation of the Management and guidance of the Principal and also the staff, the Physical Education Department is able to organize sports activities.

Transportation

College has its own transportation facilities to bring the students and staff from Khammam City to the Institution. SBIT has an excellent transport facility for the faculty, staff & students with flexible and competitive fare. The institute buses are operated in different routes with 11 busses. The transport facility remains available for any kind of emergency round-the-clock.

College Canteen

College has spacious canteen facility in the college premises and is run by college management. A variety of South Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college at highly subsidized rates with highest quality.

Canteen has a big kitchen with steam cooking facility and kitchen staff takes extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen. Food items are prepared with RO treated water.
