The college is situated in Vandalur about 30 km from the Chennai city in a 50 acre campus which has a 400 bedded Tagore Medical College and Hospital.

• The college has invested heavily in infrastructure, facilities and health technology. Faculty and students are encouraged to adopt the latest treatment protocols and techniques and the college hospital is on par with any top class tertiary care center.
• To provide dental students with practical oriented training, the college operates a dental clinic for student population and has implemented a nationally recognized service learning program.
• Sophisticated   laboratories in different departments, the porcelain lab and state-of-the-art equipments which include Panoramic Radiograph unit, Cephalostat, RVG, Implant Kit and image intensifier provide an integrated learning approach.
• The Departments   and   Laboratories are fully equipped with the latest equipments. LCD projectors are available in the class rooms for projections and live demonstrations, to enable the students to understand their subject better. TV is also available for CD and DVD projections.

A purpose-built state-of-the-art dental care center, an excellent facility for developing our innovative approach to teaching and practice comprises:

• A reception area housing anatomized case notes to support teaching.

• A series of primary and secondary care consulting areas.

• A clinical skills lab.

CCTV is fixed in all departments, clinics, and laboratories to monitor the function of staff and students.

The Dental College is attached to Tagore Medical College which has a 400 bedded hospital and well equipped with modern treatment facilities in radiology, clinical lab, multiple theatre complexes, Intensive care facilities and well experienced Medical personnel for treating patients and teaching.

Library:

There is a main library for the institution with a stock of thousands of books and subscriptions to more than Twenty international journals. The TDC&H Library Service is decentralized with service spread across the department. The Library has about 5000 Books and 19 National and 30 International Journals for reference and advanced learning. It also boasts of an Audiovisual room and Internet room with 15 computers and Broadband facility. The library has enough space for reading and reference section also.

The library has more than 300 CD’s and DVD’s priced to visual effect for the students to understand the subjects better and visualize the procedures effectively.

Laboratory:

U.G. lab has a museum covering a wide range of specimens, A.V. room with L.C.D projectors, and a contemporary histopathology lab, a microscope section with illuminated microscopes, binocular microscopes, trinocular microscope with LCD projection.

The clinical receives many specimens for Biopsy and we have the provision in Research Microscope and a camera to photograph the slides and sent it via mail to the doctors and for storage purpose for future reference.

Well equipped lab for the students to process their Clinical Prosthesis.

The phantom lab as it is called has 60 phantom heads to cater to the needs of students’ preclinical work before they start working on patients.

This well lit lab trains the students on wire bending exercises for orthodontic work. This lab is Equipped for students to do their Orthodontic clinical work.
