Placements & Internships : Companies like Microsoft, Apple, JPMC, Amazon, LinkedIn, Flipkart etc take interns and hire students from campus for roles like SDE, SRE etc and along with many other non technical roles as well. average salary is around 13-15 lakhs per annum for CSE branch mostly and highest package in 2022 was 60 LPA. Vast variety of alumni spread all over the industry. They often visit campus for various workshop and interaction with students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Fill out the admission form in June -july and streams are out in start of August.Classes start by September (1st or 2nd week) Students are selected on the basis of 12th score or jee scores. PCM percentage for general category was 98% for CSE branch in year 2020.

Fees & Scholarships : Fee is almost 5-6 lakhs per year (semester fee+ hostel + mess) Scholarships like merit based on the basis of academic performance and category based scholarships are provided by thapar. About 10% students get the scholarship

Academics & Faculty : Classes start from 8am and end around 6pm with breaks in between. Various assignments and semester projects are given to students in each lab and lectures. Not all professors are good and responsive so students have to cover syllabus by themselves. But overall experience is fair.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 16 hotels in thapar for girls and boys seperate. Hostel fee varies according to hostel, for example hostel fee for hostel Q 2Seater is 56500 and mess fee is 21500 per semester (5months) Students can also take pgs outside thapar that costs them about 16-20k per flat for a month,not sure though. Food is not that good ,you need to adjust with that. Quality of classrooms and labs is good and dining halls are big enough. Though wifi is available on whole campus but wifi quality in hostels is not good and we have to adjust with mobile data most of the times. The Library is vast and beautiful and one of the main attraction of thapar with about 1L + books

Clubs & Associations : Societies like MLSC, CCS, ECHOES, etc are available for technical and for non tech like volunteery services societies like pratigya abhiyan etc are there. main festivals are Saturnalia,Thapar Food fest, etc are big events to enjoy. General life in college is very good as you get to know a lot of people and know how to adjust with different kind of people.
