About the University of Gour Banga 

The University of Gour Banga was established on 2008 and currently hosts 2500 students. The University offers courses in the field of Science, Commerce, Humanities, Law and Eductaion and is one of the two state-sponsored Universities of West Bengal. The University is accredited by UGC and NAAC and aims at providing education to students from all strata of the society. The University has an excellent infrastructure and is situated on a huge campus. 

Eligibility Criteria to apply at the University of Gour Banga 

• The candidate must secure 55% in order to apply at the University
• The candidate must have math as  one of the main subjects
• For post-graduate courses, the college must be at least 21 years of age 

Admissions at Gour Banga University

The candidates must fill up all the details that are required in the application form

The candidates must provide all the required documents (certificates and marks card)

The candidate must be present at the counseling session by the University

The candidate must pay the fee through a  DD

• The difficulty level of the question paper/ competitive examination
• The average marks scored by students in the competitive examination/ Higher Secondary examination

The University provides the following hostel facilities :

• There are internet failities across the hostel
• The hostel has water purifiers on every floor
• There is 24-hour power supply in the hostel
• There is 24 hours water supply along with water heaters 
• There is a medical center present, incase of any medical emergencies
• There is an indoor recreational room for the benefit of the students
