Placements & Internships : Our alumni are very well placed and most of them pursue a Scientist's or a Researcher's job. One of my senior has almost completed his Ph.D. from Max Planck Institute, Germany. One from Switzerland.

Fees & Scholarships : My course fee was roughly Rs. 10000 a year since I had Computer Science as my pass subject and those who have Chemistry, their fee is roughly Rs. 7000 a year. Inspire Scholarships are available to those students who have secured excellent marks in class 12 and it'll be continued if the student secures first class or above every year. Our batch had 30 students. Out of them, 7-9 students got scholarships. Loans are not needed generally, but if you're in dire need of help, you can avail it from Indian Overseas Bank.

Academics & Faculty : Class timings are sometimes really good and sometimes bizarre. There are three exams a year. But only one counts toward your final percentage and that's the final exam, but to be eligible you have to pass the test conducted one month before the final exam and maintain 70% attendance throughout the year. The method of teaching is classic i.e. chalk and board. My overall experience has been good, especially the practical classes. They are conducted very nicely.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are no hostels of our college. There are lots and lots of PGs just outside of the college campus. Average cost is Rs. 5000 per month. Food of our college is very economical and good too. New study buildings are being constructed recently and new faculty is being recruited too whenever there's vacancy. Some old buildings need paints. Labs are good but some need to be more spacey with the increasing no. of students. Classrooms are fine. Few new and bright lights are necessary, that's all. Library is fair. No wi-fi is available at Vidyasagar College.

Clubs & Associations : Recently, our Physics Club was made and is flooding with students and alumni. Group activity is good. Communication with seniors is very necessary to succeed. Festivals and celebrations include Saraswati Puja, Vidyasagar's Birthday, Ganesh Puja, Viswakarma Puja, Freshers Programme, Fest, etc. Sports include Table Tennis, Football, Cricket, Annual Sports Tournaments, etc. Life is good in college, there's no specific dress code in our college but too much western style and fashion are strictly prohibited. Communication and transportation systems are very good. All time metro, buses, etc. are available.
