Placements & Internships : Don't expect any placements from the college. Alumni meets are done every year by the passouts.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : A pretty low scale college in terms of percentage and marks required to get admission. Eligibility criteria are quite easy for medium range marks.Anything above 50% and you're well within the cutoff.
Fees & Scholarships : The course fee per year is about INR 6000-9000, depending on the course taken. Every session batch has an average of 20 students who get scholarships. Loans are not required or accepted. Scholarships include free job preparatory exams for one year.
Academics & Faculty : The college has two batches. Morning batch starts at 7 in the morning. Day batch starts at 11.The classes are not compulsory as in attendance percentage doesn't really matter.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The college campus does not include any hostels. The food is quite cheap in the canteens. The canteen also has a free wifi facility. The classrooms are average overall. Nothing flashy but clean and precise.
Clubs & Associations : The college has several cultural festivals and courses throughout the year. The college union is friendly and help students out when needed.

Placements & Internships : Pharma companies hire candidates. ( Bengal Pharma, Ranbaxy etc ) at Vivekananda College. Average salary would be around 4.8 - 5.2 lakhs per annum. Alumni network is great, various pass out candidates often visit and share their experiences and motivate the students
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria is to have more than 65% in Biology, 60% in Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics in your 10+2 examination. There was no examination, there just plain counseling at Vivekananda College. The cutoffs for :- General category it was 85%. OBC A category it was 75 %, while for OBC B, it was 70 % SC category it was 65%. ST category it was 57 % at Vivekananda College.
Fees & Scholarships : The course fee at Vivekananda College is about 25k per year. University scholarships, State Govt. Scholarships and the college itself give scholarships to candidates scoring more than 80% in the examination. An average number of candidates would be 8-10 students per year. Loans are generally not required, if required there is a Canara Bank branch inside the campus.
Academics & Faculty : Class timings are from 10.30 - 4.45 at Vivekananda College. Candidates can take up projects from their respective Dept. There are three exams in a year. The assignment is given regularly. Teachers are good, teaching methods are good but can be better. The college experience is great, co-circular activities take place regularly.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is no hostel facility at Vivekananda College, students need to stay in outside PG or rent. PG around the college will cost you around Rs.3500 per month. The PG's provide you with 3 times meal. College canteen service is good, food is good, prices are quite cheap. The classroom is big and spacious, boards are connected to projectors, labs are of high quality. The libraries contain a huge collection of books, there are no dining halls, the campus is enabled with WiFi. The campus has a large resting room for both girls and boys, common rooms are separate for both girls and boys, there is a gym, an indoor games room.
Clubs & Associations : There are many societies in the college, ranging from different cultures groups, literature groups etc at Vivekananda College. There are many clubs in the college, Quiz club, Dance club, Astronomical club, Research cell etc. The association in the college are purely chosen by election. Main festivals are cultural and sports, along with others like movie festival, arts and crafts etc. The college life, in general, is good, people have a wide variety of scope in future. College organizes many career counseling seminar. The year starts from July and ends in June. The campus is free from any political parties interface. The study environment is one of the best in the country. The college is often counted in the best science colleges in India and is the Best science college in the Eastern India.

Academics & Faculty : Classes are regular. We have 6 claases a day. Teachers are extremely helpfull. Admit cards for the college exams are given on the basis of students' attendence for the particular year. There is zero burden of homework or assignments on students. But project in few subjects are given, which has to be submitted on the given date precisly. Very less stress is put on book-ish knowledge by the teachers, they believe in making every student live and love the subject. Regular assessments are given to check students progress. Fees & Scholarships : Course Fees about INR 6,000 per annum, Exam fees INR 700 on which library fees, laboratory fees is included Some of my fees also goes to Students Aid Fund, being a student of poor family I have got some concession in fees.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : College infrastructure is good. Right now college is free wi-fi zone, laboratory faculty, library faculty is also good. Now we can also use computer in library for two days in a week.
Clubs & Associations : In our college there is also football team which plays inter college tournament under calcutta university. Our college also have cricket team, basket ball team, which represent our college. Every year college authority also arrange annual sports program for students
