Vivekanandha College of Engineering is a women-only college which is part of several colleges owned by Vivekanandha Institute to cater especially for the woman. The college is located in Namakkal and is one of the best Engineering Colleges in the state. It is an autonomous school and it is affiliated to Anna University. Vivekanandha College of Engineering is accredited by NAAC and AICTE. 

The college has many excellent features that make teaching and learning exciting. Among the facilities available in the college are spacious and conducive classrooms, beautiful campus, well equipped laboratories, standard library, internet services, sports arena, and facilities, computer rooms, conference centers, cafeteria, recreational centers, among many others.

Vivekanandha College of Engineering Namakkal offers four-year undergraduate programs in seven courses classified either as technology or engineering. The courses are given in the table below.

Students applying for B. E or B. Tech in Vivekanandha College of Engineering, Namakkal must have passed 12th or Tamilnadu HSC. The HSC passed subjects must include Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. The college will also grant admission to candidates who have passed HSC with only two of Chemistry Physics and Maths but with a pass in an engineering, technology, or vocational subject. The equivalent of these qualifications can also be accepted.

Students applying for M.E, M. Tech, and M. B.Admin in Vivekanandha College of Engineering, Namakkal are expected to have completed a degree course in relevant discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% mark. However, consideration will be given to a candidate in the reserved category who has scored an aggregate mark of 45%.

Also, a candidate who already has a Masters Degree in a relevant subject will be considered for admission for another Masters Degree in Vivekanandha College of Engineering, Namakkal. Candidates with a five year integrated degree program as well as candidates with B. SC in Computer Science or Information Technology plus a two years Master's Degree in the same course are all eligible to apply.

The college will also consider candidates with a three year MCA degree who has a degree after 12th-grade HSC.

A candidate with a three-year diploma with at least two years of working experience in a related field will as well be considered for admission.
